OK, sounds like a great time next week for your and Mr. OK. In large families I have noticed the older kids take care of the younger kids, and that helps out a bunch. Sounds like counting noses every morning to fix meals that day for everyone present on the given day. Enjoy the moments that makes everything worth while. It is nice the weather is cooperating with cooler degrees.

My Father's sister's daughter (cousin to me) came and stayed almost a week and cannot hardly wait until they visit again. Her ex and now current husband is a 'fix-it' guy and always amazes us with his talents. Latest is a timer that automatically shuts off the hot plate and coffee pot on the breakfast bar. Dh is so happy about that he almost danced a Irish jig.

It is so dry here, raccoons are coming into our garage in daylight to eat cat food. I yelled at one last night...big dude that just looked at me then slowly left the scene. Possums are coming in also. So after the cats eat, I put all the food and cat pans back into the feed can.

Many years back we had to shoot a possum that was coming into our garage to eat cat food. The nasty thing was hissing at our cats and threatening them for their food. Both those and raccoons can get really aggressive when food is involved.

One good thing about opossums is that they eat TICS. We have a lot of TICS here but seeing an opossum is rare.

A lot of chat here since the last time I looked! I have those orange day lilies in my yard. We have some red ones too. I'd like to get more. The orange ones are very popular, and seem to be beside the road in ditches here also.

More painting? Will it ever end? :-)

Wonderful to have family visit! It sounds lovely to have so many. Big families are such a blessing. If you don't have a big family, you can appreciate how special they are...

I've had some terrible run-ins with opossums and raccoons. It doesn't seem to matter if you live in the country or in the city either. I could tell a story or two about them. The worst raccoon is a pelt now, and one of these days I might make a 'Davy Crockett' hat out of it.

Diane Ross was at my Guild meeting yesterday morning. She is an inspiration! Here is her web site.
theamazingquilter.com/

She is not only an awesome quilter but she is an inspirational speaker.
(She is looking for more speaking engagements.) Anyway go to her web-site & watch her You Tube video. I was blessed to have met her today.

LOL, OK... That would have been a good idea.

Here is a little of what I've been doing with my Juki sit down LA... still learning. One is a quilt I'm working on and the dark one is a practice sandwich. Having lots of fun!

SBG, Ooooooo, I like your sandwich. That's cool! It would look great on a 'negative space' of a quilt!

I hosted a family reunion this last weekend. Boy, I am already tired. I am still helping DD to clean & paint the rent house. We should finish today & she is hoping to hire someone to come & scrub it tomarrow. She still hasn't found anyone.
