My version of the "emergency clutch"...I cut squares of 2 different fabric and 1 of batting, sewed together, and flipped. Then quilted some diagonal lines across it. I used a hairband (so it will stretch when baggies are filled. The ones I make for the retreat will be a little bigger so the bags aren't so close to the edges, otherwise it turned out.
Now if I just had that new embroidery machine to put each person's initial on the front corner.
Any other small gift ideas I could make to go with this? I'll just be using a 9" square from 2 FQs so will have some left and it would be fun to make a couple things to match. Most of these ladies are scrapbookers not quilters, so it can't be "quilt" specific. (Yes I know I can get 4 out of 2 FQs and might do that too, but am still looking for ideas just in case.)

CarrieM ... glad to see the huskies made it thru to the southern lands!!! A HUGE thanks to you for coordinating the swap. Now youèll have everyone thinking they are getting telephone fabric. I hope your DH was not too disappointed in their being BLOCKS and not that Canada Post BOX that he had his eye on!
Oh great ... now apostrophes are coming thru as an e with accent grave and the ÉÉÉès are back for question marks.
Anael ... honestly I DID NOT figure it out and everything just went back to normal. Now they are all mixed up again. So I`ll leave it to you and others to figure out this for me. As for my BBs making it first, remember that mine did have a head start. However, I will admit I am impressed at the speedy delivery of just over a week!
CarrieM ... great prototype! Perhaps try stuffing each pocket and see how much bigger might be needed for that expansion. If I had one, I;d probably overstuff it! (note the semi-colon to replace the uncooperative apostrophe!!
” ... congratulations on your BB finish and away in the mail!
And here is Fr♥sty!s Fence .... made from the trimmings from the Christmas Fr♥sty. The only newly cut fabric was the backing. I know it;s not the best hand quilting, but remember this is only my 2nd effort. The ♥s on the Mini Irish were my first. The striped fabric wasnèt the best choice for rails. Might have been better as the centre rail than the outside edge.

Yay Ggal! I will be looking for them.
I have 5 sets of blocks here (counting mine) so far. I think there are 4 more sets that have been or will be mailed tomorrow. This is a great start since these aren't due for another month. You will all like these blocks...everyone's done a great job.

QE--you posted your reply while I was typing mine...got interrupted taking cookies out of the oven. I really like your rail fence quilt...what are the finished dimensions? Your quilting looks good to me.
Sorry didn't mean to confuse anyone with the telephone fabric!

JanieW ... THANK YOU!!! ?"?' They all seem to be with me again now ... will remember you trick the next time! Maybe somehow, I am doing the same thing and creating the problem?? I'm having some other problems too, but trying to not ask too many questions ... and hoping to sort it out with more experience in this new land of updated programs! I HATE updates! So please do tell us ... how has your Pony Club Quilt come along? And please, share some pics!!!
CarrieM ... And what kind of cookies are we going to enjoy tonight?
OOPS! guess I didn't give many details!!
The strips were all 1", so 1/2" finished. The finished quilt is 13-1/2" square!
Thanks for the kind words on the quilting. However, I really don't know how right I am doing it or not. Just doing it and stumbling along!!!!
