Yes Yes a beautiful block arrived sometime this week from DD! (who knows when--the mail police (me) was not here to monitor the mail's coming), but a big stack was sprawled across the dining room table when I got home yesterday.
Thank you Thank you. It may be a while before I get it posted as the house is overflowing. Got a potatoe cheese omelet in the slow cooker for tomorrow's breakfast. Haven't thought about noon or supper yet. We are 8 adults and 9 kids under the age of 11. And then a ham feast for 30 + on Sunday. Thank goodness everyone brings something and I just do the ham and some side potatoes. Okay I'm whipped--good night and thanks for the pleasant chatter and memories.

GrannyQ and Dublb - great log cabin block! I love the colors.

So glad you got your MB OK, can't wait to see it, but don't rush, after the weekend when things calm down for you is just great!

Anael - you going to make Bram a new blue outfit for Easter? We have not seen a photo of Isa in a while, we need to see her in her crib! Isn't it just grand that they have progressed so much. I just smile thinking about them in their cribs!

Jeanie, I don't have pictures of Bram and Isa in their cribs. I hope my DDIL will take some today. I made Bram new outfits with the fabrics I had left. My DDIL told me not to buy anymore fabric as she's having enough outfits size 50 (metric size) given to her by a friend.

Yuk, it's snowing again! We have a white Easter I can't remember ever seen snow with Easter!!

What a wonderful weekend at the OKSGlad Ranch! While overflowing with people (and tiring for you) ... I know you are loving all the hussle and bussle! Is an outdoor Easter Egg Hunt in the plans? Delicious sounding breakfast this morning ... you'll have to share your recipe later! We'll get a look at your block later, like an Easter surprise!

Honchey ... I guess I've been the lucky one, have never resized photos ... and hope I don't jinx it by saying that !!

Anael ... size 50, sounds so HUGE! That's something you'll have to get in their baby books, that their first Easter was white! So far it's looking like a green Easter with rain. Although, yesterday we awoke to a smattering of snow, and Monday's forecast is for some accumulation!!! Mother Nature has a wicked sense of humour, and with April Fool's Day ... hrmpf!

When I bought my home 10 yrs ago ... we had our worse storm of the year on April 7th ... so it's may not be over yet! That day it was wicked wicked and when the Real Estate Agent came to pick me up he got stuck in the farm lane. The roads were dangerous with people sliding everywhere, as most snow contracts end the end of March. As we drove to this place, I wondered why we were out on the roads, it really was not that important. When we arrived, it was all covered ... the roof, the sidewalk, the flowerbeds ... I really had no idea what lay underneath. When we stepped in the front door, I had the sense this was going to be THE ONE! ... once I went around the home and found the stone wall that you've often seen in quilt pics, I KNEW it was! I put in an offer that afternoon. And four days later when I removed the conditions, guess what? The roof, sidewalk and flowerbeds were still covered with snow! ................ and I've never regretted it one bit!

I rememeber over 20 years ago when I had to sell my house and move into a rented place it was first week of June and it was below 0 at nights! So no, it's not over yet!

My DDIL promised me to send me some new pics of the twins. She also left behind the outfits They all have fixed feet and the twins aren't allowed feet on the outfits. I don't know why, maybe JanRN can tell us? She asked me if I can remove them and hopefully they're still long enough. I removed one and no, not long enough! There's a v-shaped hole in the front leg and I can't repair that so she has to think about what she wants now.

Easter will be very quiet here, no visitors, no nothing. So it's me and my killer kitty Time to catch up with some projects!

Anael, I think one of the reasons for no feet or legs on the pjs is for ease of changing and checking diapers, not sure tho. Also makes it easier to check the "color" of their tiny feet to check for circulation. (I'm guessing since I never worked NICU). It's awesome that they're doing so well.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions to improve my FMQ. Ggal, maybe if I gave my machine a nice name (instead of calling it unprintable names) I develop a better relationship with it LOL. And Janie, thank for that link; I've downloaded a lot of her FMQ designs so it was nice to see her actually doing the stitching.

GrannyQ-beautiful MB. Love the little touches of red.

Finally, a sunny day here and 55*. Not going to last--Monday calling for rain/snow mix and it's opening day for the Pittsburgh Pirates at home!! I love baseball and can't wait for the first pitch. They have a sell-out but I think fans are going to have to wear their Steelers gear instead of Pirates.

    Happy Easter all--many blessings. Peace.

Anael ... I wonder, could you put little extensions on the bottoms of those legs, perhaps with a jersey ... layered look? kind of like footless socks?

A nice bright and sunny +7C today, though it's a coolish feel to it.
For the first time though, I could smell he dirt, even though there's still lots of snow hanging around!

Happy Easter to all of you...My trip down south has been canceled due to me having oral surgery hopefully on Monday...The problem didn't stay quiet and flared up...I should have had it taken care of as soon as I found out but procrastinated and now it's sort of an emergency...I am on antibiotics to help keep it isolated...Yuk and more Yuk!!!!

Glad to hear our Sewgrands are progressing nicely....Jan, the sun came out just for you!!! I think I'll try to get some sewing in this weekend...I might not be able to later on in the week.. Have to dig it out of the tote!!!!

It's the v-shaped missing part that's making it hard to extend the legs. Makes them kind of bermuda's I took pictures so you can see what I mean. In the second picture I used part of the 'feet' as a patch but I'm not sure I like that.

Anael, could you cut the leg off at the top of the "V" and add a ribbing or alternate colored knit to re-lengthen? You could make one and have them try it on the baby to see??? What a shame, being given all those outfits and not being able to use them! They make little outfits with a ribbing type fabric around the bottom rather than the enclosed foot. That worked better for some of my long legged grandkids.

Jeanie, I looked at that already but the legs are really short when I do that. At least that's what I'm thinking. My DDIL has to decide but it would be a shame not being able to use all those outfits. She has 9 of them, all with feet!

DD, thanks for the great pictures! And Happy Easter to you too!

Pfffff I just heard from my DDIL it's easier without feet but I can leave them on if it's too much of a hassle to alter them. They're allowed to wear the outfits as they are! Tomorrow quilting time instead of trying to make outfits without feet

One picture is worth a thousand words ...
"I've got the feel of mine ... I want to see yours!!"
And one thing missing ... in my mind, I saw the video, where DDIL/DS reached to each other and kissed!
How comfy in their lawn chairs!!
And to think ...10 weeks ooooooooooold!

    Honchey
... OUCH! Hope that you can get it dealt with and over with quickly ... then head south to recuperate!

JeanieG ... Ribbing! that's what I was trying to think of!!!! ... kind of like cuffs on sweaters/sweatshirts/sweatpants!

Anael ... I was thinking of the look the kids have now ... where they wear shorts overtop of leggings. Not my choice!!! but the SewGrands would be "in-style" (with what we old'uns don't care for!) Just saw your update that they can be left as is ... and your Easter gift, to sew for yourself, tomorrow! Yipppeeeeee!!! and what are you going to do? Any special Easter things for DGS#1?

DDamsel ... cute! How old? Any lambs? or just kids at your place?

    And me?
working on getting everything ready for my accountant for income tax prep (due April 30th in Canada) ... not my favourite thing to do! I'd sooner be stitchin'!!!

My DGS has his gift already but I'm afraid his dad will take most of it I bought him some chocolate easter eggs but I know my DS loves them too!
I'm going to catch up with several projects. I'm behind on almost all of them! First of all I need to make a lot of blocks for the twins, I still have to make my Sylvia BOW, at least one FWS block, I promised my DDIL to make her a wallhanging (first time she asked herself, she never did before)

Yes, 10 weeks old!!!!! Only 4 to go and they're full term

Anael, Great Photo of the "Family" together... DD..love the "kids"...Wow!! You really are out in the "boonies" as we say here in Jersey...are you far away from grocery shopping? that's my first thought when driving around and there's nothing visable except sky & greenery..fields of vegetation..etc.
I'm putting together an Easter basket for my youngest grandson....what an ordeal...it's been so long since I've done that....all the little stuff that goes in it..the older one is easy..gift card from Walmart, hugs & kisses...They are coming by tomorrow for a "visit"...
I starched and pressed the fabric for "-----------"s MB...don't bother counting the spaces ... I'll cut it up when I get back from the store..I'm going to hunt for some "peeps" for the basket...

Honchey--sorry for your pain and delay on your trip. Praying things go well Monday and you can be on your way.

Anael--that is a special picture of the twins and their parents.

DD--fun picture of the kids. I have a friend with goats and my children and I went to help with deliveries a couple times. Good "science class" for homeschooling. They liked it when there were twins...sometimes triplets too. We went back and helped with feeding too. Both her children have since graduated so they don't have near as many this year...for the past 3-4 Springs they were having at least 30 "kids"!! Children were in 4-H...they had both dairy and meat goats.

Well I got the sashing on my BBs today. I had to add one of my extra PC blocks to get to 16. The lower right corner will be the label block from GrannyQ. The block on the top will be repeated 4 across on both the top and bottom. Then the side borders will alternate blue, then green, then blue. The cream fabric has swirls and dots of red, green and blue. I even found enough fabric in my stash for the backing so I can start quilting this week.

Like your layout Carrie; thinking about mine....and thinking. Cleaning up Quilt Room and trying to find out where I hid the Farmer's Scraps pattern...

Off to do dishes and get ready to cook today. Fried chicken, creamed peas, mash potatoes and gravy. Had green beans in the Dutch Oven yesterday, with pork loin done in the oven with apples and brown sugar and mashed potatoes. Pork loin for breakfast this morning...maybe biscuits. Then back in the quilt room. Bf quilts, too. That makes it nice. Homemade cinnamon rolls, oatmeal cookies, and think the brownies are all gone...time for more!!

Good luck, Honchey; may you have a quick recovery. Good luck on the Easter baskets. Between two Grandma's gs is going into sugar overload today.

I've been missing in action for a few days.. Got a distressed phone call from DD early Friday morning, she thought she had broken her ankle. Didn't want to call an ambulance until I could get there. I had an overnight bag packed and was on the road in ten minutes. Thank goodness DH was home to look after the dogs. An hour and a half later I was at her place. Good news it is not broken but she had some tendon damage and was told at the hospital to stay off it for 48 hours so I have been here ever since playing nurse. I hope to go home tomorrow if she can stand on it.

QuiltE I don't think I could hide a Sweet16 and the calculations for the Compass blocks will be done with pen and paper. I have EQ6 but have never mastered it and really I am quicker with a note pad

JeanieG Elvis will always be a favourite of mine, I can still picture my childhood friend being sprayed with the water hose by her mother as she threw a tantrum upon hearing of his wedding to Priscillla, still makes me smile

    Anael what a beautiful photo

There has been so much chatting since I have been gone so I hope you will forgive me if I don't reply to everyone. Will talk to you all again as soon as I am home

Goodnight and Happy Easter to you all

    Happy Easter!!!!!!!

I've searched my home and that darned Easter Bunny, didn't leave one!

Anael ... I have a feeling that you'll be choosing DDIL's wall hanging, just to help give her a lift! Maybe do two at once, and keep one for yourself?

Honchey ... Hope you got your basket together, before the kids arrived! Just thinking of their pic, makes me smile!

CarrieM ... good idea for your sashing ... a great way to sash/border up when one fabric choice does not work for all. And bonus, that it's a stash project!

QNSue ... you just made up my mind about supper tonight ... roast pork tenderloin with roasted veggies. Thank You!!

NurseMiraB ... how nice that she still wants her MOM!! So glad it's not broken, and hope it heals fast. Good reason for her to sit and quilt! Maybe she just wanted her Mommy for her Birthday? What did she do? Thanks for tackling the challenge of ... I could do it, butttttt right now, need to do my income tax prep. Will be interesting to see how close to my "estimate" it will be ... or how OFF I was! I would so love to be able to shop my stash for this quilt!

Everyone ... please have a Happy Easter whether with others or Home Alone!
I'll just continue with my number crunching!!
    (some Happy Easter that is!!!)
Though I will confess, strange enough, I was enjoying it ... nice easy going music on, sun shining in (not today) and just quietly working away with no interruptions ......... other than getting up to make myself another tea!

Good luck with your number crunching QuiltE! And Happy Easter to you too.

I'm choosing the wall hanging for sure. She just told me the measurements and on which wall (a blue one). So I'm going to make her an Anael quilt LOL and you all know what that means! She now has my Lonestar hanging there but I want that one back That was my first real quilt, can you believe it? How little did I know about designs and difficulty. I just thought oh I love that one so I made it LOL. It's this one, I guess you've seen somewhere on the board.
