Well Ladies, what will we be doing next??? suggestions??? I have no idea...I just packed a suitcase & 4 large brown paper bags of my stuff to take...plus a 10 yd bolt of white kona cotton...my Oliso iron...my new laptop is packed with all my programs on it...everything is by the garage door ready to go in the car in the a.m. In the a.m. I will pack a small cooler for DH..

My youngest "kid" performed his first act of chivalry this evening.... after dumping a small box of little cars, people, and setting up a garage in the area where they play..I went into the room to turn a lamp on...I had to lean over the end othe sofa to do it...as I got up from the sofa he came over to me and grabbed my hand and led me around all the little toys and said "look , watch...at first I couldn't understand why he did that and then it dawned on me...I always tell them they can play where they want but to make sure there's a path for me so I don't trip on their toys... I felt so special after that that I almost had tears in my eyes...

I do have to get up early so I'm off to bed for now..tomorrow is another day .

Aren't they special, Anne? So sweet! I'm calling it quits for the day--enough Bookwork for one person today. Every once in a while I've snuck in to have a brain break.

Honchey ... What next? I don't know! Wonder? is there a way we could challenge each other with our UFOs? White bolt, for your DJ? Oh no, you are sending your laptop on a holiday without you. What will you do without it?

OKSGlad ... the good news ... it will soon be over and done! Yea, right ... it only starts again, right?

Anael ... another great finish!! A little more bolder and brighter and all curly-q quilted. Such nice gifts for the Grands ........... and finished early. Maybe better make them something else just to fill in the time??

And now ... I better get myself ready and off to Christmas.
If I'm lucky I might be able to check out to LQS' in the area.

Anael, OOOH loop de loops....so nice and round!!!I wish I could do that... When the LA was set up in the Gallery I used to play with it...I did much better moving the machine around as opposed to moving the quilt around...too bad I couldn't set up my quilts on it...
QuiltE, I'm using my old standby laptop that runs very slow...it's about 8 yrs old...got it all squared away and it runs ok but all the newer software needs more memory and this one is at it's limit...so just for emails & communicating...
DH left about a half hour ago...I got as much as I could in the car without crowding him...Now, what to do with myself for the next couple of days...I think I'll go back to bed & get some real sleep

Good Morning all! Went to bed at 9:30 last night, woke up once at six, slept out to 9:30 this morning. Deep sleep, feel rested this morning. Rare for me to do, but I guess I was very tired last night.

Anael, verrry handsome quilt for Bram. Now if I remember right that is about four quilts for him that I have seen, so you better make sure a picture of each one is in his album from DGM, so he can recall memories when he gets older.

I hope, OksewGlad, you are taking photos of those lovely grandchildren and putting them into an album because they grow up all too soon. They do not stay four all their lives. Enjoy.

Honchey, that would be a lovely memory to write down and put into a scrapbook of DGS pictures and memories of what they have said. Ladies, you need to write it down and take pictures. You cannot have too many of them...take that extra minute and do it. That can warm your heart again and again when you look at it in years to come.

We cannot quit this thread yet, my PC quilt needs border and to be quilted this summer. Then the BBs are together, but needs to be quilted, and the MBs will also need set together and quilted. And the SYEs. What a collection we have assembled together! What next?????

QNS, this is the first quilt for Bram. My DDIl has several other quilts but they're for 'general' use. I still have to make one for Mick and I think I will make the I Spy for him.

Great quilt for both kiddos, Anael. Thought of you this morning--I have chicken soup cooking in my crockpot. Mmm-smells good already!

Anne, you asked what next. I've been all over the internet looking at free BOMs. Wow! Now my mind is overloaded with ideas of what I want to do. Check out www.quiltaddictsanonymous.com. I really like the setting on that one. Maybe we can all check out some sites and come up with ideas. I just Googled "free quilt BOMs" and a lot of sites came up. I know where I'll be spending my afternoon.

I like the name Quiltaddictsanonymous!! And I like the BOM too. I've got to go but when I'm back I will google for free BOM's too. I'm sure we will find one we all like - if we want to do a BOM that is

I've been thinking about what to do next as a group.

I really enjoyed the MB that we have been doing. It was fun to make blocks for others and fun to wait and see who sent what.

I was thinking we could do it again but fine tune it a bit. We could pick a theme, like snowmen, floral log cabin, I Spy , hallowe'en, Christmas, garden, beach, butterflies, puppies, cats, or whatever and then we make a block for that person's theme. We could do 2 a month to keep the interest going.
