last conversation was with youngest dd wants 59.98 for sketcher sandals... 3 words for her GET A JOB...

cause, not that i'm dutch or anything, but....

There is a huge difference between CHEAP, which would suggest inferior workmanship and materials, (which we don't use) and a low priced, not particularly exciting, but well built frame/mat/glass combination!

We need to immediately 'reframe' the idea they want 'cheap'.
that is a very good way to handle it... because even when the customer says cheap... you don't want to be thought of that way.

My mother was the same way. She would always say don't say cheap, say it's inexpensive!! I had an ebay store for several years and that was my "slogan" It read: Our bargains aren't cheap - - - they're inexpensive. My slogan was in rememberance of my mother. Even today when my kids use the word "cheap" I'll correct them and say "inexpensive"!!

Well, all I can say is ...I'm not "cheap," I'm thrifty.
I'm not crazy, I'm eccentric.
I'm not depressed, I'm a brooding artist.

See, it's all about your perspective!

Cheap is the price I want to pay for something that isn't "cheap"!

In the 50+ years of knowing my mother, I don't think I ever saw her take so much as a sip of wine. We're just not drinkers.

One day, jokingly, my mother said she could get drunk on one sniff of the cork. "Oh, a cheap drunk!" someone said. "No," she replied, "an inexpensive one!"

Way to go Ma!! :-)
