Much better than filling your freezer and then the electric goes out and........ Also, you can make incredible jams and preserves. Right now I get 2 huge containers of strawberries for $3.99 makes 10 Pints + of strawberry jam. Buy unsweetened Concord Grape juice and make grape jelly NO HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP so it tastes like grandmas's.
can you tell m e how you do jelly with grape juice...

Next time you go to the grocery store, check out the new sizes of cereal boxes. Close to the same height but the box is narrower. Chips bags are the same size but not as full. The prices are the same.

Make sure you check the label telling you price per unit. Bring your calcualtor as the units are not always the same, making it harder to compare.

I've also seen a reduction of brand offerings. Kroger seems to have about 80% of your choices as Kroger brands.

If you have storage for these items, stock up to ride out the increase. These items have decades long shelf life. Whole coffee beans last for years. It may seem alike a long time away but it will increase to that high point starting this year. It may not happen but doesn't hurt to be prepared if you can for any items that contain these food you enjoy.
I got sticker shock on coffee at Target the other day. 10.99 for Folgers. Went to Safeway yesterday and found Maxwell House for 7.99, I have stocked up on 3.
