I guess I"m easily irritated at my age. Something like this happens means that I would tell them that no way in h#%^& would I EVER buy another Brother anything or suggest anyone else do so. Seems to me that they would want to keep their customers happy, not ticked off. And I would tell everyone I know, far and wide, which with computers means all over the world.

Hehe. That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard charging someone to answer a question. Shame on them.

Another problem might be that there are some small pieces of paper stuck and that will also allow the printer to tell you that there is a paper jam.
I just had this happen to me and it took the better part of 2 hours to pull out some small pieces of paper (less that 1/4") from the printer but after IU got them all out it worked just fine.
Hope this helps

I had one one time that after jamming I also had to take ink out and unplug unit from everything. Then plug back in and put ink back... then it worked lol.... odd. Hope you find your solution without having to pay money. :)

I keep getting paper jams and there was no paper at all in the printer, so I remove the ink and put them back in and turned it off and back on and havent had any problems with it since, the problem was the ink wasnt in right!

Sometimes I've left the door on the ink cartridge chamber open just a teenie little bit. I feel pretty stupid when I check the ink cartridges then close the door and eurika...problem solved!
