Same thing happened to me, but I have an HP...after online help from HP, they told me to unhook the printer, then rehook everything back up, then shut down/turn off your computer, then turn it back on after about a minute...and your printer & computer should now work...it's not your printer after you unjammed everything, it's your computer being uncoperative...lol

And sometimes I have to do the same "turn off/turn on again" thing to my laptop.... they just get confused, I think...

Shame corporations are now charging for help with their own products! We can't program a RCA TV into their own remote much less our Direct TV one! They told us to give a $14 dollar deposite (could wind up costing more) to their site on the internet (credit card number) for them to give us the code number to program it into the remote! Not worth the cost to keep from using the TV remote to turn it on and off and use the volume.

I went through exactly the same thing two months ago! What we finally did (instead of giving "tech support" $169 and they would not tell me what error code xxxx meant anyway,) was very carefully lift every cover on the printer, and take a soft paintbrush (little one) and gently sweep every surface, then use canned air to blow air, then the vacuum to suck very gently. Evidently we had dust or something on the sensor and it would not work until cleared. I really hope this is of help, Just remember, the key word is GENTLY at every step......Best part of this, fix was FREE.
