Taboo Tues: This week I would like for you to turn the TV off for one hour and do something for your body. It can be anything from reading, bubble bath, just have a hour to yourself and do nothing, you get the idea. You might even want to plan your menu or plan on what you WILL do WHEN you reach a goal or even plan the goals you want to set for yourself. You can do this once or daily.... I think daily would be great. I know sometimes it is just hard to work a me hour into a day. We could do this for the month if you would like and keep track of what you did for your body. May for me month. Got the idea May for me from another blog I didn't want to take credit for thinking of May for me when I didn't. Like everose said Be Good To Yourself..... I think that is how she worded it.

Please count me in for this month. I didn't do well on last Thursdays weigh in. Having a terrible time with the lip/lymphedema problems and blood sugars have been elevated along with all the other health issues.

I call it getting rid of ounces. Sort of like throwing out trash.

New to this site, new to quilting; so iI might as well try to lose a few pounds. After 40 years of marriage I'm up about 80 pounds. It would be nice to see what I can loose. Might be fun, even if iI don't win. Good luck everyone,

Pam H I love the mystery quilt. It is so satisfying to complete a project. I have way too many UFO's right now and they are making me nuts. I don't like this many things going at once. MY baby quilt is marked and ready to layer to FMQ. The t-shirt just need a border and I need to decide if I am quilting it or having it done. I am making a table runner for Mothers day, well in my mind, not started yet. Plus several other UFO's floating around. I need 2 quilt blocks by Tuesday for quilt guild, one is finished and one needs about an hour. I am doing the 50 paper pieced stars group on here and am 3 behind. I have been wanting to do Dear Jane for a long time. My LQS is starting a group on Saturday that I signed up for but I forgot I am walking a 5K on Saturday. SO I guess I will miss the first class.
The classroom where the teacher has been making me nuts has been a little better. I finally talked to her. Not my style to do this but I made myself do it since I will be there again next year. She didn't realize how I felt but she knew I was often pissed off. She has been trying the last few days. I also talked to the other aide who I really like. She agreed with me some and has been telling the teacher when she does things to cut me off. The teacher and the other aide are best friends so she can talk to her that way. They also eat lunch together and sometimes go out on the weekend etc. Hopefully things will improve. The kids have been absolutely awful but that I can deal with. I worked with mentally ill kids for 9 years. These kids are easier than them. One of our kids is such a mess they were talking about expelling him yesterday. I work with multiple disability kids. THey aren't sure what to do with him. As of right now I might be stuck being his one on one aide the rest of the year. He wears you out. YOu can never be sure when he is going to run out of the building or jump across the table and hit you or lash out at another kid. Only 25 days next. The director of special ed talked to me about it today. Not too sure where it is all going yet. Working with him would require a lot of chocolate. I need to find a good substitute.

This weeks taboo is easy. We don't have television. Hmmmmm....... something for me...... I'm kinda stuck in the house and not moving a whole lot....... I'll have to think of something different than I am already doing.

Got my stitches out today. It sure is ugly looking!!! I know it will look better over time. 2 more weeks of no weight on the foot. I think I can survive it..... maybe

Pam, I love the taboo. Do I do it - NO. But I think about it a lot. I even did something for me today - I worked in the flower beds. I love digging in the dirt, looking at what's growing and maybe even weeding a little.

A Calgon bath sounds wonderful also. Oh this week is going to be fun. Thank You!!!

Be Good To You!!!

Where do I find the 50 paper pieced stars? My dad is retired military, stars would be a great quilt for him.

What about getting someone to bring you a pan of water with lots of bubbles in it..... to have a nice hot soak for the good foot that you have to use a lot more now. Just a thought. Maybe a couple of can to use for weights and do some exercises like some curls or lift it up over your head or maybe a can in a old purse with little handles and do leg lifts on the good foot.

I already did something nice for me today without knowing the taboo.....a nice luxurious mani/pedi.
I haven't sewn for 2 days. I've been having so much fun watching (mainly listening to) old movies while I sew and then putting quotes on facebook to see if my friends can guess the movie. Before the weekend I need to get a binding cut and sewn onto a quilt so that I can do the hand sewing on our drive to Iowa for a wedding.
Yesterday I ate a big fat juicy burger. Bad, bad! Today I was better.
I was wondering why I wasn't getting updates for the new month. Oops! I forgot to subscribe!
