Okay...I'll bite ( ) This is Genius (the black one) and Nellie, the calico. Both rescues, Genius is a tail-less Manx who is 22 pounds and a little less than graceful (or coordinated) as far as cats go. After I had him for a year, I went back to work full time and he threw all his fur (think of that old stuffed animal you just couldn't get your kid to throw out!!)...the vet said he was stressed out and lonely so we got Nellie to keep him company. Weighing in at only 1 1/2 pounds when I brought her home, she marched right in and walked UNDER him at his food bowl, lifted his head out of the way and began eating his food! I think he regretted throwing his fur at that point!!
They have been faithful companions to each other, and to me, and have moved with me five times since 2005!

These are our babies. Penny is a 4.5 yr old Chihuahua. Tawny is a 1 yr old Boston Terrier. Sarah is an 8 yr old cat, her mom and dad were feral so I don't know what kind she is.

We are total pushovers. We are currently down to 5 dogs, all were "throw-aways", and all are very much loved by us. It wasn't always just dogs. While my kids were growing up, their favorite line was "My mom will take it" whenever one of their friends got tired of their pets. Through the years we've been given fish, birds, hamsters, gerbils, a bunny, a hedgehog, hermit crabs, cats, a ferret, and an African Spur tortoise (Ingrid is about 10or 11 years old now--good for another 90 or 100 years. Here are a few of our housemates.
Our newest puppy, dumped off at the vets in a shoebox at age 2 weeks. Kind of a blend of breeds.

Thanks Celeste for posting that. I love to see other people's babies. I'm a Dobie lover too. I have no kids so my 2 dobies are my babies. Heidi will be 11 and Tank will be 9 in May. Doggie birthday party to plan for.
I've been a dog lover my whole life. My mom wanted me to go to beauty school so I did. I went and learned how to groom dogs. Unfortunetely I have injured my back so I can no longer groom. :-( I no longer work so I love to spend my days with my babies. They like to go in my sewing room while I sew and find a pile of fabric and nap while I sew. I laugh when I see someone that sells fabric and they say comes from pet free home. What would I put? All fabric tested by 2 dobies?
1 thing I'll add is alot of people are afraid of this breed until they meet my Tank and Heidi. They have definetly changed people's
opinions. They truly are a great breed. :-D :-D

Oh! I LOVE seeing all the pictures of your "owners"! Is there anything more comforting than the unconditional love that comes from the furry members of our families? I'm attaching pictures of our "Lacey". She's a toy poodle that had been rescued from a puppy mill by the Humane Society. She had been starved, mistreated, and forced to have a puppy before she was really old enough and had lost it. My daughter and her family adopted her and then her asthma started acting up. They were devistatated thinking they may have to giver her up and began trying all types of meds for my daughter, getting their vents cleaned, and anything else they thought may help. We were just recovering from the loss of our beloved Husky, Max. We had had him in our lives for 16 years and the loss was so hard that we said we'd never go through hurt again.....no more pets! But, since Lacey had stayed with us before and was used to us, and our grandchildren were comfortable with her coming to visit Grandma & Grandpa, we said we would take her for a month while they worked a solution. Well.....5 years later , she is a permanent member of our family. She has helped heal the loss of Max and we can't imagine our lives without her. I like to think that Max helped to direct her to us to help us heal I know that eventually we will go through the same heartwrenching loss, but the unconditional love she gives us and we can give her now will make it worth it. Plus, our grandchildren are content knowing she is still in the family and they can see her any time they want to.

Great cats. How much does 1 gray tiger kitty weigh? He sure likes laying on his back.

My DH wanted another LARGE cat, lol, and found these two boys who were fostered for the past year after their daddy died.
They came as a set. Gandolf is 7.5 years old, and the foster persons vet said 14.5 lbs, (although I think he likes it here and is gaining)
Rory is also part Maine Coon, and 2.5 years old, 11.5 lbs.
Miss Tatiana, the black one, was with us before, we got her as a pet for Hamish. She is about 8 years and about 10 lbs, although she has been sickly the past few years (two summers ago she was down to 5.5 lbs)
