I think I left the impression that I'm weird (hey... nothing from you in the Peanut Gallery!). I don't take showers -- only baths. I wash my face first but not with a washcloth. I just soap up my hands (with special face goo) & wash my face with that. Then I start washing my body (at my feet). But I kinda skip around & let's just say "below the waist" is last. Then the washcloth goes in the hamper (I only use a towel & washcloth once). So please don't think I wash those "places" & then use that same wash rag on my face. Ick! I'm a weird-o but I'm not a sick-o.

I've read through this whole topic and determined.......
You ALL are crazy; I'm the only normal, sane one here.
Jan in VA (and even though my name is always included by board design, I "have" to type it in each time myself. So there.)

I can't stop laughing at this. Now -- to add to my quirks....and to enforce the washcloth issue. I worked in a nursing home. The head nurse, while training us, brought up the issue "do you wash the groin or the feet first"...think about it. NEITHER place would I want to wash 2nd!!!! If you wash your feet first, then anything you may have stepped on would now be on your groin......Get the picture????? SOOOO, my quirk -- I use 2 washcloths at every shower. GADS, I didn't know I was so quirky until this thread was started!!!!

it's official, a.gramma,...our brains definitely run in the same circles.
Every time I scrub, I silently agonize about the fact that although the washrag is super soapy, I hate where it's been when I scrub my feet, so I have to re-soap them after I throw the rag on the floor of the shower and try to scrub my feet over it!
I rinse the washrag and hang it to dry, soon to be in the bleach laden washer, but it's definitely icky-ew-nasty-exiled for the duration at that point.
I also have one of those hand held shower thingies that you can "pressure wash" certain body parts with before delving into the dark crevices, LOL (how's that for a visual!)
Many years ago I had the same training, and for what it's worth, bless their hearts...it ain't baby poop!

Sure glad you set us straight about your 'washing order', lol...it got me to wondering who all I have hugged that might not be doing it, LOL, correctly
I'll wash my face with a clean washcloth and hang it over the top of the shower for later use, but if it stays there overnight I won't use it anymore
(...you've lost that loving feeling...whoa, whoa, whoa...)

Y'all are just too funny! I take showers. When I was younger, I took baths . . . but I would shower first. Never could understand how people could get into a bath (dirty), then expect to be clean, after sitting in the dirty water. Ewwwwww!

I just never could figure out how to get bubble bath to work in the shower... LOL! But I rinse off with the shower after I get done soaking in the tub.
