Gail, walking is one of, if not the best type of exercise to do. Most everybody can get out and walk...some have health issues and can't so they need to find another type of exercise to do. I think exercise along with portion control is the best way to loose weight.
And we are ALL beautiful....beauty comes from within. And with all the caring and support we get on the site....this is one gourgeous site
:-D :-D :D :D :D

Good morning to all. Hope your day went well yesterday.
The rains have started here. It rained all night last night...not hard just steady. I am far enough up from the Gulf, I don't think I will have too much bad weather. I think. But I am prepared for a shut in weekend.....I have enough coffee, Kitty Girl has her food and treats, and I have enough quilting projects to work on. What more could I ask for :-D
Again, welcome to all the new ones.
Ya'll have a wonderful, blessed day.

He didn't see the problem.

I have so many reasons to lose the weight and am re-learning how to do it. I am 33 years old - who used to live a very-very active lifestyle (sports, firefighting, etc) An ankle injury (12 years ago) slowed me way down and 5 years ago I had my son and the hormones during pregnancy caused a huge flair up of an auto-immune arthritic condition that I was diagnosed with, finally, two years ago. All that packed on the pounds and now I have just over 100 pounds to lose.
Just today I joined Weight Watchers to try to learn how to do it. I also am in physical therapy - I finally had my ankle fixed this summer, and I take the water arthritis class at the YMCA. So hopefully with proper eating habits I can get back to a healthy weight.
Everyone on the board has been so supportive as I learn to quilt that I am hoping that support will also help with the weight loss.

Good morning, y'all. Yeah, I know it's almost not morning. I am back on my screwy hours. My latest quilt started to come together, so I didn't watch the clock and it was 3:38 when I went to bed. My brain knows the best sleep is before midnight, but I've never learned to go to bed alone, so I stay up.
PokerDiva, a food plan doesn't have to be a deprivation plan. If you want the bacon, then have one slice. Put it on a plate and sit at your eating place, cut the treat in small bites and savor it slowly. Your body will think you had a lot, you'll be happy because you weren't deprived and one slice won't hurt if you work out the calories - either walk further or eat less. Thank your husband for cooking one perfect slice for you. Everything in moderation. It's the hand to mouth at the stove that gets me in trouble, not what I eat at the table.

I think it's awesome there are so many people working together here, so hi to everyone! :-) Having you guys here to keep me accountable is helping so far.
I went for a walk last night with my husband, which was nice because it was cooler out. It's easier to get myself moving in the beginning, let's hope I can keep it up all month. LOL My goals for the day are to drink more water and go for another walk outside.
I know what you mean Xylie55 about the weight impacting us in health issues. I have a few health issues that would go away if I got down to a better weight. We also have type 2 diabetes in the family, and I really want to avoid having to deal with it if I can. My husband has some similar health issues so he has been working on his eating habits recently too. He's down 10 lbs now, it just flies off of him. LOL
I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Anyway, I think we are all beautiful and on the occasional time that I post a picture of myself NO ONE has ever said a bad thing about me. This is a great group of people and I could never thank y'all enough for the support and love I have received since I joined this group about a year ago.
Stay encouraged! We are all on different parts of our journeys but having each other to support and love is awesome and essential to our success.
Love y'all!

I did pretty good for August with a 5 pound loss. Yea me!
I have a problem. I call it the "Witching hours" from 5 to 7 pm i am really hungry and will eat anything I can get my hands on and then regret it. If I can get though those 2 hours I'm good. Does this happen to anyone else?
I have to work really hard to stay out of the Kitchen at this time. I manage somedays but others ugh!
