I had one done 34 years ago when I was 33. I was in a stage of life wondering "is there a me anywhere". I was a daughter, wife, mother...but no me. So I had a butterfly done in very vivid colors ....I've never regretted it and have even thought about having it re inked.

I have three one around my right ankle the has vines and roses and one on my left wrist that has my three grandsons names that look like old baby beads i put that on my left wrist because i love them so much it leads to my heart and have the other on my right wrist that has an rose with thorns and a butterfly after my mom passed away she loved hummingbirds they come to me right in my face like they are telling me something so I put a hummingbird above my rose and butterfly in memory of my mom.

True story........2001 conversation at the dinner table:
Hubby: You didn't notice. I got a haircut today.
Me: You didn't notice. I got my ears pierced.
Hubby: You got them pierced in high school.
Me: I got a second set - several weeks ago.
Hubby: Why do you need two?? I suppose you'd get a tattoo, too.
Me: I would if I could decide what I want to live with forever.
Hubby: How about my name?
Me: Hell, no. We've only been married 35 years!
(Still no tattoo but we've been married 45 yrs now)

Seriously, there is one tattoo I would have if the need arose - DNR (do not resuscitate). Living wills are found too late for EMTs & MDs to know they exist.

Hi

I have four tattoos. the one that I will share is on my ring finger, we ( my husband and I) got the tattoos on our 10th anniversary! Now we are coming up on our 21st this summer, we want to get another matching tattoo! Not sure what to get though!

Several years ago, our quilters group from church got temporary tattoos that said "Born to Quilt" (water based application) We put them on at an all nighter on Friday night, and on Sunday morning at church someone noticed mine and asked if it was real. I said "Oh no, that would involve needles----this is an iron on!" The double take was funny---they told me I must be one tough quilter! I will scan the picture and post it at a later date!

I have a blue rose with a little spiderweb between the leaves and there is a red heart in the spider web. It's not a big tattoo. It was a present from my husband several years ago for our wedding anniversary.

I have six. Most are easy to conceal. I don't regret any of them and would like to get more.
