whirlpool tub
#43
I have one and take and 1-2hrs bath in it every night while i read or do puzzles. It warms and massages me all over. Mine has an inline heater but it's set at 105 degrees and can't be adjusted...that's too hot for me so I unplugged it. If you buy one, get an inline heater and make sure it can be set for the temp you want. In my last house I had a double one and I think the brand was White Rain. The inline heater I had with that one was really great and I liked that whirlpool more than the one in my new house. This tub is a Kohler.

I have an outdoor hot tub. Right outside the master bedroom, in a covered patio. No one has used it for over 15 years except when my daughters came from Texas about 5 or 6 years ago. Personally, I can't physically stand hot water like DH used to, and when he got too weak to climb out, I put the moulded covers on it and there it sits, an expensive magnet for neighborhood cats to look out over the yard.

We have a hot tub. When my chronic pain is bad, I soak several times a day. It's a lifesaver. It requires maintenance to keep the water clean. My husband is good about that. If you need it, you will use it.

Have you considered one of the "walk-in, sit-down tubs"? I think there are several makers, try Google. They have a low threshold, so they are easy to step into, then they close with a door and allow you to sit while being surrounded by the water up to about chest level. I've considered one because of my MS. You can get them with jets for whirlpool as well.
