Are you talking about the kind that go into the bathroom as instead of a reg. tub or the kind many sit in and stays heated? Reason of asking... My sister put in her bathroom and took out tub, She wished she had not done that. The ones I know who have the jacuzzi's seem to really like them. Or called a HOT Tub.

make sure that the jets are adjustable (the direction they point and intensity). I had one and the jets seemed to hit all my trigger spots and were so strong I couldn't use it. I also have fibro but hot water makes me itch and chlorine in the outside hot tub also caused flare-up. Good Luck!... D

Only problem of biggest concern Ditter, you can't go in it and use it towards the end of a pregnancy. Not good for the baby. So remember that....<giggle> couldn't resist!

Ditter, We had a hot tub when we lived in Michigan, it was too big, but we loved it! Friends have a small one, 2 people only, just outside their sliding glass doors and love it! We had a cast iron tub when we lived in Florida, loved it because it was comfortable enought to slide my body down in comfortably and soak. I've heard that the soaking tubs are great too! Don't make the water too hot!

I have one and I won't tell you how many times I have fallen asleep in there. I have an small house so when I updated the bathroom I had them install one instead of a regular tub. Those jets can really hit those sore spots.

I had a whirlpool tub - used it very little as the jets weren't at the right spots to do any good. Couldn't use soap or anything in the tub when bathing regularly as it would collect in the jets and when turned out I would get scum on the water. So we took it out and replaced it with a soaker tub. We had to buy pool chemicals to clean the jets and then scrub the tub as it turned pink. It was more work than I cared for so I'm enjoying the soaker tub.

Some things to consider:
1. make it big enough (too small and your upper body is out of the nice warm water)
2. be sure to have a hand-held sprayer for easy cleaning
3. a MUST: a safety grab bar.
You'll love it! Go for it!

I have one and I found it was just way too much noise for me. I have tried it a few time for the fibro, but didn't seem to give an noticeable relief. But it might just be me. If you have a friend that has one see if you can try it out before you go to the expense of getting one would be my suggestion.
