I piece by machine and quilt by hand. Some of my next projects will be SITD, so I might try that on my machine, but it's just a Brother 2125, purchased for clothing and crafts and I wouldn't know HOW to use it for any quilting more complicated than that.

Both but mostly hand quilting, It took years to convince myself that "machine quilting" was ok too!!Quilting is an "old Time" art, they didn't have machines way back when! lol. I felt like I was cheating. But only one look at the wonderful projects on this forum will change your mind forever.

Only by hand because I don't like the process of sandwiching everything together on the floor , I do it on four boards with clamps and no crawling on the floor or bending over a big table and pining everything.

Ditto! I do small pieces by hand. Larger things get the machine. My sister does most of hers by hand because her RA makes it hard to move them through the machine.

Depending on the project, I do both. If a special or heirloom quilt I hand quilt. But for all others I do on the machine. I enjoy doing the hand quilting but prefer sitting and doing hand applique.

I quilt by hand and enjoy the relaxation. My projects take a while to complete, but that is okay for me.

I quilt by machine...don't think I would have the patience to do it by hand.
