I like multiple projects. That way I work what I'm in the mood for. When I get close to finishing a top, I tend to focus on it completely til I get done and put the others aside. But I can't stand to work exclusively on only one--usually it's too boring to handle. I like variety.

I think the sampler quilt is a great idea.

I always have 2 or three projects going on at the same time, and a long list of UFO, it is a competition with my friends to who has the longest list (I am at 34), it is the thrill of the start more than the satisfaction of the finish!

I am going to sit on the fence, I have many things on the go, but there are times when I feel really bad that I don't get all the things finished that have been started, even give them away for friends to finish if they like them.

I've been quilting for a a very long time and have the bad habit of creating one top (rarely do I quilt one) after another. It's because I love the creative process of picking the pattern, finding the "perfect" fabrics and seeing how it all works. You just have to find what works best for you..... but you'll be happier if you finish one every so often---take it from me!

I think we are sisters under the skin....we certainly think alike lol. I have a lot of projects in the works..sometimes so many that I get overwhelmed...then it's time to bite the bullet and finish one or two so I don't feel quite as guilty starting yet another.

Of course you should be doing this, otherwise you run the risk of getting bored. Additionally, "jumping around..." gives you the opportunity to increase your skill level as you complete a project. Oh He_ _, you don't need an excuse - quilting is suppose to be fun, do whatever makes you feel good LOL
