Since I always shop there first for any projects, it's extremely important. I can't afford to buy a lot of yards at a time nor do I have room to store it, but I try to replace what I use.

While I love fabric, it is only a material thing.

LOL! How funny, my husband wanted me to make a quilt for his friend. He went into my stash closet and OF COURSE picked my very favorite fabric, Moda Collections for a Cause-Traditions. Love my sunflowers! I have just not said anything and let it pass for now hoping he won't remember.

My stash is fairly small; I tend to shop for specific projects. Occasionally I buy fabric that just absolutely bowls me over, and then I'll usually buy the entire bolt! I make clothes more than I quilt though.

My philosophy is that fabric is meant to be used, not stashed! I'm on a budget but I don't feel like I have to spend everything on one trip. The money can be saved for next time!

I love my stash now. Two years ago I donated 90% of my stash of 25 years. The best thing that I ever did.

I make what I am in the mood for... it would totally break my "mood" if I always have to go out to get supplies. Sometimes my "mood" will hit at 9 PM on a Saturday night or later.
