Today I thought I would have time to do some stitching...but no.... but even better... I got to meet up with my new little great niece and cuddle her for a couple hours.... she is too teensy to enjoy her quilt I gave her before she was born.... but so special!

Connie, last year one of the LQS did the Deb Tucker block of the month. We learned a new Deb Tucker tool or technique each month. I really feel it improved my quilting and accuracy tremendously. This year the block of the month is a pattern by one of Deb's certified instructors. We use the techniques and tools we learned last year. I'm making blocks with many more pieces than I'm accustomed to but loving it!
Time to head to the sewing room. I forgot I need to get my Accuquilt BOW done. That will now take priority over other projects.

Bummer... I will be working to paint picnic tables and planting our summer garden in gear for our 30th year. Www.cabbageislandclambake.com
Since winters are so long here in Maine, I am looking forward to outdoor activities that take the place of quilting.

Well did not sew today 're -arranged sewing room and dusted floor boards . I made me a design wall after removal of twin bed in the room I use as my sewing room. No more crawling and laying out quilt blocks on the floor out in the formal living room. Now I am ready to sew tomorrow. Hope we all have a productive and fun weekend.

You have all inspired me to dedicate time in the sewing room.
First on the list is to piece a backing for a BOM project from 3 years ago. Yay! It's finally getting done. Then some arranging and piecing on the butterfly quilt and perhaps a little embroidery too.
Have fun stitching this weekend!

I've been cleaning my sewing rooms all week- my girlfriend is coming over tomorrow to test drive my Platinum 16(Sweet Sixteen). I hate to sell it, but I bought a used longarm and need to part with it. My friend has never done any free motion and has just gotten back into quilting after 20 years. She is a perfectionist and likes to have the best of the best, so I'm in for a challenge! I hope she takes to it quickly as she's too nervous to try it at home alone. I'm hoping to invest the money towards a computer for my longarm so I won't feel so bad about losing her!!
