My hubby and I have a classic car, 1962 Ford t-Bird, and belong to a car club. Lots of fun. We are also very active in our church. PLUS, we have 4 grandchildren here in town, and we love spending time with them.

So....if not quilting, we have lots of others to choose from!!

P.S. Both DH and I quilt...so,...you know. Quilting a lot!!

Let's see.....I quilt, I read mysteries (actually I listen to audiobooks while quilting) and I play bridge. Besides that I work 50 hours a week. Throw in a little volunteer work and that's it.

My hubby works Tuesday and Thursday nights as well as Saturday all day so I have plenty of quiet time to quilt.

Read. mostly mysteries. I also listen to audio books while quilting. Take care of the animals around here. And my foster pups when I have them. Not doing too much lately recovering from surgery. all I can say is if I didn't have my books and a quilt I am hand quilting I would lose what little I have left of my mind.
I use to like camping and hiking and gardening but haven't been able to do any of that since 2001. Keep hoping I can get back to it someday. And right now I am missing my puppy kisses a lot. Looking forward to getting back to my volunteering

I have great respect for those who foster animals. I love animals(I have four dogs) but I would never be able to give them up. I once met a lady at the mall who was fostering a service dog for the first year doing basic obediance and such before they go to sevice training. I asked her how she could give them up after a year and she said the heartache was worth it when she saw the joy on the face of the disabled person when they received their dog. People like that have a special place in Heaven.

It funny thats what everyone says about fostering but after doing it for 6 or 7 yrs I found out you don't get attached to every dog. I have cried over 1 dog in all those years and I still miss him but I know he has a wonderful home and is doing just great. He went to another volunteers home so I get to check up on him. I always make sure the dogs go to good homes and that helps. And the other thing is I do mostly puppies and I sure don't want a puppy full time again. :-)
All of our animals are rescues of one sort or another.

Sewing has always been a part of my life, I made a shirt if I was sad, or a new dress if I was happy, etc. It has always been a way for me to relax. Quilting is my first love right now but reading has been #1 many times during my life. I never go anywhere that I may have waiting time, or may have to stand in line without a book. I have never done much hand sewing so I could never take it with me. I also spend a lot of time with the 3 youngest of my grandsons (one is a great grandson) and my best friends are my two beautiful daughters.

When I am not quilting, My hubby and I like to go to the casinos. I use my winnings to buy more quilting supplies. I also like to read quilting magazines and regular books. When we travel I visit quilting stores. Then again...quilting takes u[p 60% of my week. I quilt for charities too, esp. Project Linus.
