My dishes are done..mainly to cook dinner again.Laundry is done, I can prove that for the mountain on the couch. Ground level..I keep my drapes shut..bi-level house. Grandkids toys out for days without them here..no I don'have the one and 18-month olds pick up..grandma's house is fun..not a teaching place for the amount of time I have to take off quilting ! I do not like dead lines.self imposed or by request.
My hubby told me to get the house clean--------------so I've got boxes adn boxes and boxes of fabrics, patterns and other sewing stuff dragged into the living room. I'm very slow about sorting and very slow about taking stuff back to teh sewing room He thought it was as one day project------------I'm on week two now. Playing with fabric on sorting breaks. He's pissed, but being pissed is normal behavior of him.

I will run the dishwasher with just the top rack half full, I do small loads of laundry. I don't see why pile up dirty waiting for a big bunch of dirty to do all at one time. Small batches take less time to deal with.

Have you not removed and cleaned the grid of the fridge before? It get's filthy under there. And uses more power if coated in layers of dust. The intake draws in dust under the fridge and inside on the compressor. DH moves the fridge and freezer away from the wall about every six weeks using moving sliders. It's effortless.

I bought the sliders from a moving company supply house. Just be very sure the floor is very clean before moving anything heavy with them. And don't let anyone use them unless they wash the sliders first and the sliders are smooth, no scratches in the bottom surface. Any grit on the slider or floor will result in deep scratches, even on ceramic floors.

Thanks for the laugh, I got so sick of my neglectfulness that out of desperation I called in "The Daisy Maids", I figured I am working almost full time, I quilt instead of clean house and cook, and I always felt like the place was a wreck unless I took most of every weekend cleaning it up. Still wash, iron and occasionally cook. Clean when I absolutely have to but love a shiny clean house that I didn't do. I know that won't work for everyone, wish I could hire them for everyone on this great board. quilting in a clean house that I didn't clean is a treat.
