Don't think he likes black licorice very well, he hasn't touched it since. It will be here on Sunday.... Don't know on Patrice, just write it out and post, guess she'll let you know or delete it, then you'll know. I think we should get started too! Did you write the whole thing out or just ask her if you could??do something like what we talked about? If you didn't do the whole dadada, maybe that's what she's waiting for, just a thought..................

Placemats received from fmhall2
I see a road trip to Billings in your future jaba and brat; make sure you stop at Costco's when you're there as well - they still have the original hotdog and soda for a buck and a half.
Thank you MargieLou - aka fmhall2 for the beautiful double sided placemats; they are perfect for our house. I told her good things come to those who wait - love that they're double sided.

Those placemats are great! I had to go to Billings to the doctor last Tuesday, Bill went with me. Usually make 2 big trips to Costco a year for soaps, napkins, etc....never take hubby with you. I swear Dabbler, Everything he tasted he wanted, needless to say $858.00 later we were on our way home in a snow storm from h---!! I'm stocked up now

Most of the time if you're making changes, she waits til you send her the copy to approve. I'd send her the post as it will be put up and perhaps she'll answer then.
Jaba, I certainly hope that he really enjoys the licorice. I never knew that licorice had those sorts of "medicinal" qualities. Just one more reason for me NOT to eat it, lol. I know when my ex-husband had a bad hiatal hernia and ulcers that he took aloe vera juice and DGL (deglycerinized licorice extract) to help heal the ulcers. It wasn't strong enough though, and he ended up having to take Prevacaid anyway, as it was the newest and strongest acid blocker available at the time. Years of trying Prilosec & it doing nothing, and he takes Prevacid for 3 weeks before the hiatal hernia surgery and all 5 ulcers were gone.
Brat, have you ever had Anthon Berg Danish chocolate? It's amazing! They make these chocolate covered marzipan bars, which you can get a big tub of in what would be the equivalent of "fun size" pieces, which we usually bring back with us at Christmas. We also get this chocolate covered hard caramel balls that everyone loves, which we also buy big tubs of.
Today I'm feeling pretty decent, aside from this sinus headache I've had for 2 days, so I'm going to attempt to get some sewing done. I have a runner to finish and the man's admin gifts to make. I think I've decided to make them all travel shoe bags. I'm debating whether to put their first names on them though.
Edit: The man just overrode me. I'm not making anything now. I told him I'd decided on something, and he said that I haven't been up to sewing lately and he doesn't want me stressing or being fussy Thursday night because I'm forcing myself to finish. He said that we will go at some point over the weekend and buy some candy or something for them instead.

Way easier on you, that's great he knows you aren't really up to it. So relax and just sew what you want to or not. We all need some down time once in awhile, I had mine last week, didn't sew for 4 days and didn't want to. Don't know what's up with that but now I'm over it. Ready to make some round robin centers and play. Hubby has made me an awesome quilt rack that hangs on the wall, holds 4-8 quilts. Love it, they can be displayed and they're not on every couch or chair. Will post pics soon. Think he is going to make some and sell them.

quilt rack
Hope you can tell what these are like. I have a blind corner in my living room so hung them there, but you can hang anywhere as long as you screw them into a wall stud. This is made from alder wood which looks just like oak, 48" long and the 4 "arms" are 24". Hangs quilts beautifully and doesn't take up any floor space.

Jaba, those are beautiful! And so are the quilts! I wish my husband did woodworking, but he'd rather read ( also a good hobby, but you can 't hang quilts on the books!
licorice works better than yogurt, and more immediate. I rarely find that as a side effect and even more rarely would want to! My mom and I would fight over the black licorice . It would get pretty ugly! Lol!

Love seeing everyone chatting, yes I do! I can eat licorice all day and it is just fine. guess it depends on the person. me I think its all this jell type stuff it should do the opposite right? like glue? lol. ok never tried Danish candies much truthfully. or Swedish. My mom was truly about those German things. She was an AMERICAN ask her would tell you this, even though she had a very strong accent. She was offended when people said where are you from.. sigh she was so proud of being an American but never got rid of her homeland when it came to food or music. ump a pa bands were all the rage, we listened to that a lot. Its funny how certain things trigger memories isn't it? forgot all about that. good memory.
I am going to start the medallion quilt in the block of the month. Patrice has approved me but said to have a back up person in case I get sick. Shoot did a whole year of table runner swaps and now I get the you can only do it if your covered. So Jan I said you would cover me if I got sick for a bit. Should have asked you but told her we were like sisters you would be there. phew thank God for angels right?

Will do brat! Nancia was going to put them on here for sale but Patrice said no. He's going to make a couple more and I'm going to see if the quilt shop in Powell and Cody will display them for me. He loves coming up with ideas for wood working and these are fantastic to display your quilts. Need to sell some.
