I finished my quilt top!!!!! three borders it looks very very nice. DH said put it in front of a window and it resembles a church stained glass to him with the light shinning through from behind. I think that was a compliment from him not sure I also finished two boom blocks!! it was a good sewing day. And Emily not only cleaned she ran to the bank, the grocery store and the post office for me as a bonus. She has been helping me for 2.5 yrs and is so reliable and trustworthy I love it. She also has a little 5 yr old boy she is trying to care for all by herself. deadbeat x. She needed shoes for him for Christmas. I made sure she had some and he thought they were the best present ever .. they are just like dads he said. oh crud. or oh yeah I suppose. At least he had something that fit instead of undersized shoes. He is a great easy going polite little boy. If all could be that way! anyone with left over boys clothing size 7 he could use some maybe we can work out a fabric trade for them. She works two jobs and cleans houses but still its never enough with growing children. Minimum wage just doesnt get you far I think.

anyone start their runners? any one pick their fabrics out yet? anybody at all??

I would LOVE a runner with hula boys on it... or in person, whichever...

My DH has already approved my requests for both a house boy and a pool boy, though I haven't had as many applicants as I had hoped... lol

with our luck my hula boys will be more excited going over to your house to meet your pool boy and house boy!
one summer at our humble neighborhood pool club we had an exceptionally gorgeous bunch of boy lifeguards and my friends and i thought up a great fund raiser for the club. we would have a dames day of decadence. and spend the day at the pool being waited on and pampered by all these young men. mmmmm, it sounded delicious at the time! yup. it still sounds good! and by now they're all old enough to serve our adult margaritas... if their wives will let them out for the day. rotflmao!!! why is youth wasted on the young??

Went to a timeshare in Palm Springs once. Lovely place bought a week for like 250.00 on ebay best deal ever. They had pool boys, they wore white shorts and white shirts and came around took drink orders and misted you now that was a lovely vacation. My son who was 12 met a girl there they were in love for a week. it was a nice trip all around I have never been misted since unless I was holding the darn mister myself.

today I spent a day NOT in dialysis as I was going to do. They poked me said your going to the hospital you have a clot. FRIGGEN GREAT. I JUST LOVE THE HOSPITAL apparently. I was thinking hell no I just got out a week ago! three surgeries on this stupid graft in 4.5 months. This is not a good sign. its a predictor of future behavior they say. well just kick me why don't you? Steve was so good I caught him just before he ran off fishing. He drove the hour to get me, the hour to the hospital, waited the 5 hours there then drove me home via the quilt shop and kindly stopped so I could wobble into there to look for hawaiian fabric. they had NONE> what the heck? so I bought batik and some more martini fabric and some fruit fabric. this way I can find out if my partner likes bright or the pastel one I made. she had better start posting goofy girl. Make my life easier!!! I am just glad to be home. I am really glad to be home.

I need my partner to give me a hint too, nothing so far. I've changed my mind 3 times and made 3 runners, I'm running out of tropical type fabric here but I have a lot of runners. Thank heavens they don't have any of this kind of fabric in town or I'd be in big trouble. Maybe I should take a pic and say a,b,or c, then maybe she'd post? Or say none of those pick something else.

Oh jaba - just bundle them up and send them to me; I'll organize a summer bash and put them all to good use. How many grass skirts and coconut tops should I order? I don't want anyone to feel left out. I'll start rounding up mango mojito mix and a few other tropical smoothies. I have drink umbrellas and can borrow a girlfriends cutout palm trees for the patio - I'll have to order a truck load of sand so we feel like we're at the beach - we can get a portable hot tub too. My grandmother was fond of Don Ho music so I'm certain there will be LP's to play tropical music. It's going to be a fun party.

I think I can hear "Tiny Bubbles" already! Think I would be very remiss to just send them your way, better bring them in person to make sure they're okay and when is the date for this so I'm not late??

I'm thinking June/July - I don't want to overlap Independence Day; any suggestions?
I love Dean Martin singing Tiny Bubbles - in the wine - makes me feel happy - makes me............................

Actually I would love to go west for Independence Day - Red Lodge has an awesome parade and rodeo that's worth attending.
