Hi! I've bagged, tagged, mailed, and sent info to the fearless leader. We are going camping with the grands( age 8 and 12), so I'll be distracted from the waiting. I am surprising the older one with a Kenmore sewing machin( circa the 50 s) that I cleaned and serviced. I think she'll enjoy having her own machine to use. We'll be making strip blocks. Cheers! Francie

Well I've tried several times to quote this

"Does everyone have their fabric picked out???"

Do you mean to go w/ everyone's fabric or the fabric we are sending?

I'm the slow one in the group.... too much work, not enough time to get to the post office. I don't see everyone's fabrics in the gallery so that means either folks haven't decided or they are counting on Janice, the fearless leader, to take pics and post for them. Notice that Janice doesn't have a fabric posted in the gallery..... She's too busy sending emails and updating the gallery :-)

TG happy that you can spend so much time with your grands and jealous you can be by the water so often

Kassandra I never pick fabric for others blocks until they are In my hot little hands. I do look for ideas when I see certain fabrics, like the space, fish, tie dyes and patriotic ones

Fast has passed me by. My brain hurts when I go fast. And I make even more mistakes, which is exactly why I decided I needed to learn to hand sew because I wanted to force myself to slow down in sewing my projects. Now I do still use my machine & I like a block that comes together quickly but I cut the word fast out of my vocabulary. Replaced it with snail's pace!

Grandchildren are the delight of my life. I'm so glad so many here are able take the time to be a part of their grandchildren's lives. I am blessed to have mine close by. I got this note on Saturday from one of my 17 yr old grandsons, "Hey GramE I am just sitting around thinking about stuff, And I thought I should tell you that in my opinion you are a perfect grandmother". I have no idea what stuff he was thinking about but he made my day!

I am blessed.

just meant that I didn't see everyones fabric pictures in the gallery. I have a hard enough time matching fabrics when I am holding them - forget on the computer!
