I love the popsicle fabric! That will be fun to work with! I posted on the Summer group that I was able to get a whole bolt of 100% 60" wide fabric from fabric4less.com for only $1.48 a yard..it was a clearance bolt but I loved the blue/pink/purple flowers on the light blue background. You have to buy a whole bolt but its really worth it. The highest price bolt was less than $6 a yard and they were batiks !

Here's the Hawaiian quilt I just finished. I hope this helps those of you have Hawaiian fabric sitting around. I've included some of the first FMQ I did on the used sweet sixteen I bought and my foray into paper piecing. Oh I should have mentioned these are shop hop block $5 kits. Sewbizgirl you inspired me when you suggested I look into row by row. I was considering what to do for a Hawaiian quilt when we did this shop hop and here were all these tropical themed blocks in just the colors the recipient likes. The raw edge appliqué was right up my alley but I sweated bullets over the paper piecing. The top block was from quilt in a day and all the pieces were already cut out. It made it so easy.
I almost always do only original design quilts and never do kits like this but you folks made me rethink this. I do think I was able to take the 5 kits and turn them into an original quilt. I even bought a row by row in Hawaii in June.
