Yippee!
Well I got a pkg in today, er yesterday seeing as to how it's 4:40 a.m. anyways, I was thinking, Wow my new fabric got here fast!!
Well, it did...but not the fabrics I was thinking. This was the Stonehenge Starry Nights fabrics that I ordered to finish several wall quilts that I bought panels for last year.

As I type this I'm thinking I may need to contact FA. Fabricaholics Anonymous...

Bullock2us I think would be a charter member along with me...
What's wrong with the whole idea is I don't really want to stop buying fabrics...
I think I just need to get more items FINISHED! Or move to Roswell with all of my ufos.

Okay Brat, I know you don't want to hear it, but since when has that ever stopped me??!! So, if you end up with people who don't receive their fqs, you know I'll be happy to send to them. Just let me know.

Kiffie thanks. It is nice to know there is someone willing to cover for lost partners but think this month we have all good swappers and there will be no need. crossing fingers and toes.

Man it is a blustery day outside. We had a really beautiful October so I should not complain. Nope not complain at all. But its going to be a cold week next week 20's as the day time high. yup cold. then at night negative digits. oh grand. I am going to try to run a couple errands up front today instead of sewing. Not thinking it will be better before it gets worse. we get a couple good days left in here and then its from 50 to 20's. no thanks. I don't leave the house on purpose when its that cold alone. wind, ice is dangerous for me. I have go hit dialysis three days a week but get an arm escort in the building and back. I wait there too not chancing it. one slip and that is big trouble I am down til I am picked up. not good. oh I love winter (not). ok I love it for the holiday factor but think I was not so smart moving to an area with such bad weather for so long. If I had only known. I was told 2 to 3 inches of snow not too bad. did not realize however that was for 7 months. and that it is 2 feet not 2 inches. Artic storm weird apparently for this area but maybe the new norm according to cnn last night. oh grand. waits till I Get HERE to do it! yikes.

last but not least don't forget to post your pictures. kiffie picked your fabrics out last night and hoping to get them to the post office today! all three fabrics hope you enjoy them (grin) ok not three, its two. lol. why follow the mainstream? why not just go wild with less not more! oh because I said its the rules? shoot. rules and I .. well not sure how well that works. we will see.

I am excited Jan (aka Jaba) returned a round robin to me last night and it came out beautiful. its a little crazy ok one round was high on speed I know it but it works in the end. she did a nice calm down round for me, one that pulls it back together nicely and I will simply add a border if anything at all. its nice to get it back so I can get it quilted and then gift it for Christmas. Its my sweeties bear mountain woods quilt. He will like that a lot for sitting in his rocking chair. phew!

hairquilt. After reading one of your comments it got me thinking. I have 2 quilt kits of Laurel Burch and some scraps. I think I better do something with them.

Pretty fabrics...florals in Winter is a cheerful idea!
Um, can you see I'm not loving our upcoming Winter weather?? And it getting dark at 5 p.m. stinks, too!
I used to love this time of year! Then I got old and crotchety...
Brat,
Our Winters sound like yours. Yes, in Texas! I'm in the upper Panhandle area, and we get Blue Northers...20+ inches of 50+ mph wind blown snow in a 24 hour period...
And 40-50 degree differences in temperature over the course of hours at times.
But I've never lived anywhere but here, and it's home...
The wide open prairies make up for some of the crazy weather...

New fabric is in!! Now to get it "fat quartered" and tucked in with the others I have ready to go...

Ooooh, there's some great ones, even if I do say so myself..lol

To my partners, I'm pretty sure SheriR can post pics, not sure if Bullock2us and Brat can? Or do I need to take pics to post for y'all after you receive them?
And Brat, it's ok sweetie, I'll tuck in an extra to the ONE I have ready for you

Kif

Oops, forgot to add,
Ellie I do still have a lil of the monkey fabric that I thought I'd already pif'd it all.
It's flannel, and pretty cute. I already pre washed it and pressed it back when I used it in a quilt. I usually pre wash anyways, but for flannel I do to allow for the shrinking. Especially when I pair it with cotton.
Embarrassing but true, I didn't know it was "okay" to mix fabrics (flannel and cotton, etc) for the longest time... looking back now I think, Duh, Kif!!!

I can post pix. I used to be able to do it easily until my computer freaked out and won't recognize my camera software anymore. So I take a pix on my cell phone-send it to my e-mail and then download it to the computer. Might would be easier with a fancy phone but I am too cheap to pay to have internet on my phone especially since hubby insists on still having a house phone. I would rather have the extra money to spend on fabric!! Doesn't sound like I am a fabraholic or anything does it?
Sewellie I will try to look for that monkey fabric tonight after dinner.

I have my packages all ready to mail tomorrow when I head into town for quilting group.
So Bullock2us, SheriR, and Brat your pkgs will be on their way to each of you Monday.

Bullock2us,
I hear ya regarding the phone. About 2 weeks ago I broke down and upgraded my phone. We have a phone plan that includes data whether we use it or not, so I decided to go for it.
My son's degree is in computer technology, so I always have him tell me the phone he recommends.
So far I'm liking the phone, except the term "smart phone" should be "smarter than Kif phone".

Every time I've upgraded my phone, I'm bad to go back and forth with my old phone for a bit until I feel comfortable with the new phone. But this time I can't, because the SIM card is a different size.

I have had a few "choice thoughts" of late about my new phone, but all in all I think I'm getting there...

Now last night I opened up my Kindle cover, and EVERYTHING was different. I'm guessing there's been an automatic "upgrade". And as of now I'm not upgrade happy .. Why change things if they're working great..why??!!

Did I read it right that you have a 24 year old and a 9 year old?
My dh was 18 when his sister was born and 20 when his brother came. My dmil was 8+ months pregnant at our wedding. I told her she better not have that baby early!! Lol..

Hubby and I were married 3 years when our only son was born. He's 3 years younger than his uncle. People always look at us like we're crazy when they hear it. I just think family is family, no matter the age, etc...right??

Though I have to tell you our son is 29, and I can't imagine having a 14 year old.. Though keeps you young, I reckon
