Thank you Verna! So far we have 14 swappers this month. Let's get back to my last question. Does anything stand out as an interesting or inspiring surprise you have received in this swap, or any swap?

I once was participating in a color theme swap and someone (ahem) sent me that color socks. Now when I'm feeling a little needy for fun inspiration in my quilting cave I put those on and grin when I look down at my feet. The thought was generous and the persons posts always make me laugh and smile.

I am always in awe of how thoughtful some of the ladies are here on this board. Great role models!

I always like something homemade from a swapper. I love that someone took the time to create something for me.

I love to get orphan blocks too....I know it is probably not other people’s favorite things to get, but I like to get them and put them in wallhangings or miniature quilts.

Something that I think would be fun to receive is pictures of flowers or trees or animals from other swappers homes or places. I love to art quilt and applique and I think it would be nice to have these pictures to use for those quilts. There is always different flowers, trees and animals in different areas where we live....even in our own gardens.

I have received so many things over the years... I cannot remember who made me the threadcatcher and pin cushion combo... it is in blue sewing material with purple. I love it and use it faithfully. I want to say it was in the swap 5 plus years ago.

Another favorite is this turtle. My secret pal found it at a thrift store and gave it new feet (felt pads). I just love it.

Another was some banana fabric for Gajin(sp). I made an apron that I always get compliments on.

My secret pal a few months ago made me turtle cards and a turtle coloring book. It really touched me.

Texas,

Those are the type of requests I love to see on the survey. The more you know about someone, the easier it is to personalize a package.

Crispy -

Just double-checking to be sure you have me on your list for February. I sent you my info a few days ago.

Hint to my swapee: February is my birthday month so this will be my birthday present. No pressure - - - LOL

Did you see the pin you sent me is holding the stuffed turtle to the wall. I do love my turtles.
