I also think that a small inner border with one of the brighter fabrics would be perfect to highlight your blocks and the border fabric you chose would look great.

If the quilt is the dimensions you want why not use the fabric in the first picture as the binding?

I love, love, love your quilt! Do not care for that border though...i am not sure of a border color to suggest but i like the idea of a binding the similar hue as your red heart!

I don't think the first border relates to the quilt at all. I love the quilt. It is beautiful. I agree with Lori. IMHO.

Terri, I hope you don't mind that I tried a little copy and paste of your quilt in Windows Paint to see what it would look like with a dark blue or a light inner border and the fabric you have there. I don't know which I'd like better, but maybe this will help you to decide what you'd like to do. It seems to me that either one would look great. For the inner border I used the"eyedropper" tool to pick up colors that are in your fabrics. The piecing you have done there is wonderful! I have to admit I didn't think that border fabric would work at all until I saw it like this, with an inner border to help it relate to the rest of the quilt.

Those are my thoughts, too. I like the fabric just fine but think it's a tad wide... but that's just my 2 cents so take it with a grain of salt.

I agree with DebraK. I think the border fabric is too busy and detracts from the blocks. Please show us what you decide on.

I would use 2 smaller borders. The first from the dark in the second picture and then another from the lighter fabric.

LOL Mine thinks I'm "unique," also.

That floral border would be gorgeous and make it stand out. With a plain border, it'll still be lovely, of course . . . but IMO, just another very lovely quilt.
