Me too and yet I wonder why I now have bins stacking up in front of the fabric cabinet. Sigh!

Believe it or not, it is less than one month until Black Friday, the suggested end of the moratorium. I'm going to try really, really hard to be good. I know I can do it for a month. I'm going to start tomorrow. I'd start today, but I just placed an order with CT. I mean 20% off all fabric (even clearance), but at least I only ordered 2 yards and didn't pad it out to get the free shipping. Of course, I won't close the thread down until the end of the calendar year, so keep on posting!

I got invited to a beach retreat next weekend. There are LQS along the way. Will I be strong? No idea at this time.

It's my BD month, So I'm making my buying list. I plan to go to a few more LQS this week while the wx is good. Then my buying will slow down a bit too. (Not, not really, just kidding).

I've been really good this year, but I did fall off the wagon a little bit in the last month. I bought 3 pieces of fleece for backings and 3 pieces of solids on sale, just because, well, they were on sale and my solids stash is a little low. I won a ten dollar gift certificate from FabShopHop and to buy any fabric from that particular store would have been way more than the gift certificate so I bought the Barbados bag pattern. Making a purse has been on my bucket list for a while. I'm a little intimidated by it, never made a purse before. I have plenty of fabric in the stash to make it, but I did have to buy two kinds of interfacing, zippers and purse hardware. Does that count as falling as well?
It hasn't bothered me too much to avoid buying until just here lately and I'm itching to add some batiks to the stash something awful. Of course, I keep finding some good sales that exacerbate that itch even more. I must be strong, I must be strong.
If anyone has any experience with the bag pattern, I'd appreciate your insight, tips or tricks. Thanks.

I'm waiting on a tuscan tote class this winter. I'm to scared to try it on my own.

I bought two FQ's one green and red and one orange and purple. Got them home and they both look brown. What to do?

I have been good about not shopping for fabric but November is my birthday month plus, of course, Black Friday sales. I do need needles and I may want some flannel for a project I have been contemplating. I have been busy reducing my scraps. I finished 2 baby tops and one twin-sized top.

Here is one of the baby tops and my twin-sized scrappy top:

Have been very good for a couple of months working on existing projects and using stash for new ones. Since I decided to work on small projects, it was going well. A friend and her DH came for a short visit, so while the guys were off doing their hobby we took off for 3 quilt shops. I did buy 4 FQs and two end of bolt pieces that were about half a yard each- and one pattern. But I opened my stash and had my friend cut pieces of approx 14 fabrics to work on a project. We had such a great time shopping and digging in my stash.

I do too. That's a great design.

Thinking back on the year I have fallen way too many times and added to stash too much but there's always next year. I have used from the stash as well so that's something at least.
