Oh my, I had a close call today. I need to unsubscribe to some fabric sources so I don't get their emails. Connecting Threads just came out with a new black and white fabric collection that is adorable. Modern style that I'm sure my niece would love. Must . . . not . . . buy. But oh, it's so reasonably priced. Where else can you get a full jelly roll worth of strips of quality quilt fabric for $16. Sorry if I just enabled anyone but I'm going to have to seriously fight temptation on this one.

I totally understand, Lori. I had one of those moments with Keepsake Quilting last year. Went back and forth and finally said [bad words] and gave in. To be honest, the collection was every bit as gorgeous as I thought and I did not have one moment of guilt. Sometimes it's OK to give in. It is early in the year though. Not sure I'd jump off that wagon quite yet.

Connecting threads jellyroll may not be 40 strips. They list how many fabrics are in them, but not number of strips. Look at their listing, they usually tell you how many yards of fabric are in them. As I recall, they charge the same per yard for precuts as what they charge by the yard, so it may still be a good deal even if it doesn't have the usual number of strips.

3 day weekend coming up with all the accompanying sales. Yikes! Good thing my Bonnie Hunter MQ is laid out on the living room floor for me to finish PLUS there's my goal of completing and average of 1 project each month. Now hopefully I have enough of the pink/purple for the BHMQ to finish the blocks ( because I cut the first set just that much too little ) or my seam ripper and I will become better acquainted. ( Heck - it and I are so closely related at this time there's no never-mind!) ) If there's not enough of one pink/purple fabric, I have another that I auditioned. I like an ordered mix in the pattern so I will have to replace some of the star bocks I already pieced with the new fabric to make an alternating pattern of pink/purple stars

I used my birthday exemption I had to 50% coupons at Joann's and wanted to restock some Kona colors that I was out of so that's all good as I needed them for two projects I already had in the works. But these two prints jumped in as funny enough they worked with the snow and medium gray I was stocking up on and geez I haven't been able to pick a colorway for the Pat Sloan Winter solstice sew along. And it was on sale too. While not normally a yellow fan I do like the look of a black and white quilt with pops of color and already have a great black and butter yellow to throw in the mix. And its my birthday month and the last two years I did not use that exemption so there lol So not justifying here no not at all ROFL
