Great Idea. I was running out of areas to hide fabric and ways to sneak it into the house. My husband will be soo pleased. I may need help going through withdrawal so keep the lines of communication open.

You will be strong, Jupitermap...the more times you say "no", the easier it gets ....becoming familiar with what you already have helps, too.

I hit the ground a little this week. I ordered several 10" pieces bundles for doing a bd swap on the board. Would this count for falling off the wagon. There was a sale from quilting threads, so I splurged. Did reframe from buying $200 more from another store for the 365 day challenge. I'm saving all the patterns and collecting my fabric from my stash. I had been really good picking out from from my stash for my BH mystery, (still on step #7), the temperature quilt, log cabin quilt, & quilting bee bom.
Congrates to all who are keeping on the wagon. Double congrates to those who fell a little off the wagon. Great show of strength not to go over board. Here's my hand. Happy sewing/quilting everyone.

Yesterday, I put 30 squares of a Lego quilt sewn together.
http://lazygalquilting.blogspot.com/...-tutorial.html
I just finished sandwiching and glueing it. Will let it dry overnight. These were 1 1/2" strips that were languishing in the 1 1/2" bin, the batting pieced, and the backing a piece of pastel fleece. We'll see how it quilts...I thought I would use an allover design of some sort...Will make a good FMQ practice quilt. No yardage fabric was harmed in the making of this

OK, I love this quilt. Thanks for posting the link. I have tons of 1.5" strips!!
I was pretty good too! The pattern I was going to use for the layer cake I bought was advertised as being jelly roll friendly, which to me means 2.5" strips. The pattern is actually 2 5/8" so instead of getting 4 pieces from each 10" square, I only got 3, which means that I needed more fabric. My first idea was to run out & buy some FQs, but I dug thru my stash and came up with some pieces that will work just fine. Then to top it off, my girlfriend came over today and shopped my stash for one of her projects. Reduced my stash & now I have lunch money!
next week might be iffy. Another quilty friend from out state is coming and wants to do a mini shop hop

Thanks, PPrincess...I didn't cut my pieces any smaller...I just sewed long strips of 1 1/2" widths and cut them to 10 1/2", then made the blocks as I went along...I was more interested in getting rid of fabric. I even sewed in some cut offs of strip sets.

I like the Lego quilt but it is not one I am planning to add to my list. My strips and assorted other scraps will go to my leader and enders friend. Plan on taking it to the quilting retreat in May.
