Well, heck! I went to JoAnns to buy some thread and ended up walking out with three yards of fabric. Two pieces will be used to make blocks for a swap I'm in, so I don't really count that a falling off the wagon. But the blue and silver metallic winter/ Christmas fabric? Well, at least it was only 1-1/2 yards and will harmonize well with the Connecting threads holiday fabric I purchased a month ago. At least that is my story and I'm sticking to it!

Paperprincess, Your Pumpkins looks great so far. Looking forward to it being completed.
I so enjoy following BHMQ's each year. I only completed 1, have 1 in progress. About to start this years and have 2 previous years with fabric in boxes to start and do. I completed last years, but after I put it together I decided to change out the solid yellow 3.5" pieces with 1/2 square purple/background fabric. My choice in yellow was too bright for the quilt. So over the next few months I will change out the blocks.

That pumpkin quilt is great! Love your out-of-the box thinking on how to put it together LOL!

I saw this pattern in the Fall issue of Quilts and More. I made it with the orange arrows as in the pattern because we have an orange bedroom and I plan on hanging this above our bed. I call this quilt "Which Way?" Forgot to mention that I only used fabric from my stash. Mostly small pieces.

I just wanted to let you all know that I have been sifting through this thread for the last few days. And, ALL of your finishes are just delightful. I feel like I've been through a FREE quilt show. It has ignited a flame within me to start finishing my many many UFO's. Thank you for all your inspiration. Just maybe I will hope aboard this train next year. I have already been gathering fabric and piecing together quilt backs to send a couple of quilts to a long armer to start me along my way. I seem to be a great starter. But, a lack luster finisher. So, I'm hoping to this will jump start me into finishing my projects. I always stall at the last border and getting my quilts quilted. I'm a much better piecer then quilter. For some reason, I can "wring the life" out of quilts in the quilting process. (Meaning, I carry so much tension in my hands, that I feel you can see it in my quilting.) So, I'm going to send the larger ones off to a long armer and only quilt the smaller ones.
Well, thank you again for your inspiration. I think I have procrastinated my finishes long enough!! You all deserve big KUDO"S for taking the step to finish your projects.

Sophie, love those colors. Here's my punkin quilt WIP. it's from the Sept-Oct '17 issue of QuiltMaker. Happy lab, it's also a BH pattern. Love your fabric selections! I always copy her weekly instructions for her mystery quilt, but have never actually made one! This is what I did with all that orange fabric I purchased a couple months ago.
I have never been an orange person and in the last few years I am just drawn to orange like no tomorrow. This is stunning also. I love this happy quilt. I love orange and gray together. Not your typical Fall quilt. And, this I would display EVERY September through November. Great quilt top!!

Such wonderful projects and finishes. I must admit I'm feeling a little cranky as all week I have been cleaning carpets in preparation for Thanksgiving and no sewing. Does anyone else feel out of sorts when they don't get to sew? Been doing good these past months in fabric purchases though pre black friday sales might make me tumble.

Elly66, my DH notices when I haven't been able to sew for a few days. When I get cranky, he makes me go into my room. Such a happy place! I fell off the wagon yesterday with pre-black Friday sales. Got a couple pieces of backing and some holiday fabric on sale. Actually, it was all on sale, so I don't feel too bad.
