The blocks are 16" so 4 of them with a 4" border make a 40 x 40 quilt...perfect for a baby quilt using only a 1 1/4 yd of backing fabric.

I had cleared my schedule to sew this weekend. Of course, we lost power Friday AM and it's not supposed to be restored until Tuesday. We are on generator, but don't want to use my expensive computerized machine as the power is not steady. I have 2 treadles. I should learn to use one of them!

Oksewglad love that layout. Great for a scrap quilt. Will bookmark for my scraps. While I have worked hard to get them more manageable they always multiply.

That's rough PaperPrincess. Hope you get another weekend soon.

I used 3 1/4 yards of fabric to make pillowcases and another probably half for potholders. Will make more for when the grown children come, they can take them home with them. I am also hoping to pull fabric from stash when I go to make a quilt for son and girlfriend. Wish me luck all the fabric I need will be there.

Beautiful scrappy Oksewglad!

i haven’t been keeping track of how much gets used up, but I can say I haven’t baought any fabric since early January when I ran out of the black I needed to finish my temperature quilt. Got the fabric, still haven’t finished the quilt- it’s been on hold while other things with deadlines get finished up. So far (ecxept for that one slip up) everything Ikve completed or have in process for this year is completely from stash!

Surgery put a crimp in quilting. right hand is in a cast. swelling has gone down so i can move my fingers thumb is totally immoble.

yesterday, withdrawal hit. had to pet some fabric. even chose fabric & drew out pattern for stash fabric. it's sitting next to me yelling temptations. ready for another 3.5 yds to be used. :-(

guess i could talley up the total.

Awesome, Rob! You've really been committed to your projects this year..from organizing, UFO's and stash use.

Petthefabric....I didn't read (or I missed it) that you had surgery. I'm so sorry and hope you mend quickly. Being away from my machine since traveling is killing me so I totally get it!!

Fabulous news, my friends!! I found all the fabric for my BA quilt during my travels. This project is ready to start once I complete my SBS and the quirky applique wall hanging I started while traveling. Yea for me! Heading home tomorrow....my sewing machine is calling my name!

Petthefabric- sorry to hear about the surgery. Glad you were able to get some fabric play in. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
