I’m on the fence now. I’m waiting a few weeks before I signup for this year. I’m going to buying fabric, I intend to swap and leftover keep for future scrap quilts (a year or 2 down the road). So after I receive the fabric. I will start my shopping my stash first, then buy if I needed to finish a project. I have 4-5 projects I want to start, (mostly Free BOM or BOW, or mystery projects, where I use only my stash).

Congrats, yea!!!! To Petthefabric, for using up 24 yards. Thank-you for being a great example. Again yea!!!!!

Staying strong Teen! Besides, you won’t have a real address for a while yet, right?

Conchalea....lol...I do have a new address but I don't even have a mailbox installed on my land in Idaho yet!! Lol!! But still, I'm done packing, I have no packing supplies left, and used the last box. I refuse to buy another box or roll of bubblewrap. I'm done....so no new stuff. I have a little over 2 weeks to go so I think I'm good for January. However, come February....

SillySue....yes...they are big meanies!

I'm here. Ridiculously, I purchased 504 yards of quilting fabric, 56 yards of backing, 22 yards of apparel fabric in 2018. I think it's like gambling, for me. Ooo, pretty, new, shiny. Sigh.

In 2018, I sewed up/cut down 118 yards, and donated 32 yards.

2019:
I donated 13.75 yards.
I used up 5 yards in a crocheted rag rug.
I cut down 1 5/8 yards for quilting.

2019 gone/used 20 3/8 yards

Fessing up here. I bought 5 yards of batik. I dumped out my batik scrap box. Most of it is darker. So I bought 2 of the yards for background mixer and 3 yards for borders.
I just got to say that I really enjoy scrolling through many pages of fabric, yummy fabric, to buy just the right shade and color for my quilt. I also really enjoy buying patterns, new quilting books and cheap used quilting books for a fraction of the cost.

I, on the other hand, get overwhelmed at the huge variety of fabric available online. I dither on what is the best choice. Plus I’ve learned my monitor doesn’t always show the true colors of fabrics. So I don’t often buy online.

I just ordered a pattern for a star quilt made with batik precuts. I have enough batiks to make my own precuts for this pattern. I was trying not to buy patterns either, but this one spoke to me. And since I am pretty sure I have everything in my stash for it I thought it would be a good thing. Once it comes in the mail I will have to decide how close to the top of the list it goes.

Today I hope to get back to the studio in the basement and work on the block assembly. I spent the morning at the dentist yesterday, and then in the afternoon recovering from an extraction.
