Ok, Ok, my scraps are getting out of hand and have a lot of vintage fabric scraps so here goes. I'm working on a QFK that should be done by next week, a t-shirt quilt for grand daughter and picking fabrics for great grand daughter's quilt---darn I'm tired already from just thinking about it. Now to find all that time so this is the is #4. I always seem to have a lot of stuff going on and wanting to do something else.

I was looking thru my magazines looking for "a sheep in tennis shoes wallhanging" pattern i had seen, and found quite a lot of quilt patterns to use my scraps up.

I make lots of children's quilts out of leftovers from other projects. My daughter and I tie the quilts then they are donated to hospitals etc.

Not much fabric gets into my garbage but I wish I had a friend to work with me to use it all up. Shirley

Shirley- check around at your local quilt shop, perhaps they know of some church groups or guilds.

I wish I had someone to sew with too. But then, I have DDs and DILs that are learning, but they are too busy to spend hours sewing. Someday....

I have to laugh-out loud. at myself. I too, read the first of this thread and immediately signed on. It wasn't until 5 minutes ago I realized it started in '07!! But I'm still in, and I love scrappy, so I'll be working on one a month. It's a great idea. I read some of the comments about the stash growing at night, or when we aren't looking......it's too true!! I finally had a yard sale and sold all of my scraps, but before I did that, I cut as many as I could without going berserk, into squares of all sizes. So part of my work is done for me already. Woo-Hoo!

when this challenge started in '07 i didn't really have any UFOs. But since then- ummm, guilty. I'm actually cleaning up the sewing room looking for my list of 2009 projects to see what's left on it. There is a list of UFOs- I've been working on them a bit at a time and I want to see if I actually accomplished something this year.

Right now I have one spread out on the bed in the guest room. Working on it in between gifts, etc. Trying to finish 2 or 3 by the end of the year. I might just do it!
