The first photo is an Atkinson pattern. The second is Quiltville. The third is my own, taking different layouts of the Drunkards path block.

I finished the top for DD's quilt. She needed something to take on long bus trips with the college choir. (Night travel, you see.) She picked the fabrics, and decided on the design. She chose things I might not have chosen, but I think it works.

Now, on to quilting!!!

I have made such a quilt from squares that my class had cut about ten years ago, believe it or not. some of the fabric had 1969 printed on them. Only thing is I did not sort the squares by colors. I put them all in a small cardboard box and had my grandchildren draw "the lucky winner" out. Consequently I ended up with a "unique" quilt. It really is so terrible, that it looks like that is the only material that "Granny" had. It is a nice mixture of aquas, greens, blues, and whites. But, then there are about eight pieces of red flannel. For the backing I dug around and camef up with an old cotton sheet, white with pretty aqua flower bouquets . and it looks okay. I am in the process of quilting it with blue thread. Oh well, it's an original. but, I am starting a scrap laundry basket. And now I will have to get two more so that I can sort the colors! Thanks!
