Wow, sounds like everyone is having lots of fun! Emma & Belfry, can't wait to see some of your completed quilts! I have a stack of tops I need to get done too. Now that the number of cottage visitors is dwindling, I hope to have more quilting time. I had another big fall last week. Well actually a series of trips, both literal & figurative. My cousin waited until the end of August, then decided that she wanted all the row-by-row designs available in my area, so could I please visit all those shops and pick them up? Well, you know how it is when you go to an LQS, especially the ones you don't visit often... and I have a hard time just running in and asking for a freebie. So to support the local economy I bought a yard (or two) from each shop I visited. I know this was the nefarious plan behind row-by-row. It worked.

It was very nice of you to pick them up for her. I would find it hard to just walk in and ask for the free item too - quilt shop or not.

BettyGee I joined so that I would learn good buying habits from the beginning and it's working most of the time. I have a small stash that fits in it's space. I consider that a good thing. And I can find what I am looking for easily and it's easy to keep organized.
I bought another black and white 1/2 yard for a Quilt Club BOM Project that was just introduced. It's a 6 month one block a month Cat or Dog Block and the fabric is like a preprinted patchwork that will make a pretty patchwork cat. Wish me luck.
The Club Challenge is to take an appliqued peony block and modify the design using only stash fabrics so I'm glad I have enough stash to pull it off.

Oh help - I just got the Connecting Threads catalog and fell in love with their kaleidoscope line. I also need some neutral thread for piecing.

Martina, thread isn't fabric......yet. So thread wouldn't count I don't think. Now, if an individual was to purchase 1000 spools of thread and weave for making fabric I would give them an award....hee hee.....calla

Martina - I saw those too in the catalog. Love how it was on the last page so I couldn't avoid seeing it! Saw those and went uh oh since I just bought a kaleidoscope book this last month.

Martina, you are not alone. I keep looking at the paisley with the black background. So rich looking... An 40% off tools... might be in trouble.
