DITTO>>>..I could so relate to this. Oh and I wish I had walked away from them before the age of 43, too many beating from my mom and sister and that was in front of my children. Why did they do it? Once because I went to my daughters friends moms home for a cup of tea.

I can relate...everything I did in life I got the hard way. Mother was an abusive alcoholic that drove our father away. He couldn't deal with it and left my 2 sisters and I with her. I am in a good place now but often wonder what I could have been if I had two parents and a more normal upbringing. My sisters and I are still dealing with the pathology from living with our mother.

My one wish is to have gone to college after marrying and having children. I am the only one in my current family that did not attend. Was fortunate to have a good career even without a degree. Am happy with the way my life evolved.

Tried my hand at singing when I was younger. I had voice, but didn't use it.

I would have gotten a really good lawyer and sued Kmart when I fell and got hurt there. That accident was the reason I am in the shape I am in now. But I was nice about it. BIG MISTAKE.

I am sure that if I traveled down the same road I would make the same choices that I did in the past. I have a good husband of 48 years, 4 good kids with spouses and nine grandkids, nice home, retired, etc.......however, I would have liked to have the ability to meet and keep friends. I am not shy as such, but somehow I guess I am just a boring person or else I just don't put forth the effort of pursuing friendship. Oh well you can't have everything.
