I just wanted to say that I am so impressed with this machine AND with Janome Customer Service. I bought my Horizon Jan. 26 and waited a few days to start using it. I joined the Yahoo User Group and discovered there was a problem with the 1/4" foot. Janome knew of the problem and was making every effort to rectify it.

I registered my machine Feb. 4, and yesterday (Feb. 14) my new 1/4" foot arrived in the mail with an accompanying letter explaining the nature of the problem and how Janome engineers had worked to overcome it. I AM VERY IMPRESSED!

I have every intention of making this the first machine in "my history" that I will learn ALL of its capabilities. I am going to start a notebook and when I stitch out a new stitch I will add a sample along with my comments! The Yahoo Group is terrific and a wealth of information! I am also planning very soon to call my shop owner/dealer (which they encouraged me to do) and book an appointment to go through a "learning" seminar for the Horizon. WooHoo!

I have been "lusting" after the Horizon since it came out! I have a Janome 350e embroidery machine and have been very pleased with the quality of it so I would definitely be interested in buying another Janome when I can.

Since you just bought your machine you probably got one of the newer feet that didn't have the problems the original ones did.

Your machine was probably packaged after the problem was discovered, so you may already have the new 1/4" foot. They discovered the error just shortly after the first machines came out last year.
My dealer exchanged out my machine for a brand new one; but I would have held on to the first if I had known about the foot beforehand. I now have a new machine and a new foot from Janome. They are great to do business with.

May I ask about how much the Horizon runs? I don't know if it's worth a trip to my not-so local dealer.

I love my horizon. I have been sewing like crazy since I got it I just finished a top that I just posted Red Double Irish chain. I got my machine it Oct. and after I registered it I recieved my other foot. one is flat on the bottom and the new one has a grove on the bottom to help go ever seams better. I love this machine and I love the 11" space it has a lot more room than most home machines and it is well worth the price. I checked out the Bernina and went with the Janome and have not been disappointed expecially with the difference in price.
