Wheeler Wilson machines are a dream to sew on.

The cloudy look is the shellac coating on the machine. It turns brown and cloudy when it gets water on it or is damaged in some other way. It must be completely removed and the head recoated with another finish. I have used TR-3 (time-consuming, but great) and have also removed the finish with Go-Jo and used Armour-All car wax (3 or 4 light coats) as a finish.

One is a ??? 27? that has OWL decals. It's the decals that don't seem so common. Anyone know what approx. years/models they used these for? Is it indeed rare?
The other one was mentioned as a floating bird detail/RAF decal. Some sort of model 15s but also on others too? Again, is it rare?
What would you expect to pay for each one? Just a ball park figure... so I can file it away in my head JUST in case i'm as lucky as Jan at falling into wonderful deals/steals. lol

Nancy
I spent 3 days at retreat, then came home to a---snow day. I've slept most of the morning, recuperating. I haven't even unloaded the car yet.
I dropped off a parlor treadle in Nashville and sold a converted handcrank at retreat, so am down two, and ready to go to work moving stuff around again.
Of course, I came home with more fabric (!), so have to find space for that as well. I only worked on one project while there. I made 90 blocks, cut them all apart, and. . . they were all wonky. I didn't cry, throw my scissors, or kick the machine, but was mighty disappointed. The blocks were made by making a simplified log cabin, sewing two together and cutting apart on the diagonal, so until the blocks were cut apart, I couldn't see my mistake. And I waited until I had them ALL done to start cutting apart because I wanted them done all at once. (I will NEVER do that again!!). I spent a lot of time ripping and resewing, but think I can save most of them. I finally put the ones I had done up on a design wall yesterday, which made me feel a little better!!
Ah, well!
So now I need to unpack the car and fondle the fabric.

Of those, which would you recommend if someone could only attend one (and add NH to the mix if you know anything about it)?
Any plans to attend the new one in Texas this year?

Miz Johnny, I looked through your webshots and saw your National that you cleaned with GoJo and Armour-All. Very pretty machine!
I guess I just need to get brave, start with a test area, and pray that all works well. :)

The Wheeler and Wilson machines are NOT the same bed size as Singer. The only WW style machine that will fit in a singer cabinet is the Singer 9W.

I was responding to another comment, Miz Johnny, lol. I wouldn't know what fits which. I appreciate the input and your knowledge.
