It is 'L' shaped and the two projections that sit on the fabric are different lengths. The foot is 13/16" from bed to bottom of screw notch. It attaches on the back of the shaft. (Back clamp style). I think the part number is 32559. I'm using a shirt tail hemmer for the measurement. I really am anxious to get my treadle machine going so that I can use it. This is the only vintage machine that I have so far. If anyone could tell me where I might find this foot, I would greatly appreciate it.
My 66 also uses back clamping feet, but I only have one of the foot you are looking for-- the one I use the most on the machine! Those feet are hard to come by. If you want to keep your machine original, you may have to be patient and check ebay regularly, and talk to as many vintage sewing machine repair people as you can find. Many people have changed out the pressure foot bar to take the more available side-clamping feet, for this reason. That's another option you have.

Good luck-- I hope you are able to treadle on your machine soon. You will absolutely love it.
I have a wonderful sew shop that has BUCKETS of old Singer feet. She often gives them to me for FREE. I'll double check with her to see if she's got any back clamping feet. Just another excuse to go see the shop!
Wow, it would be great if she has one. There's a presser foot bar on ebay but it's from a 99. Says it will fit a 66 too but I have no idea.
Only the 66-1 or 66-3 will fit the machine no other foot will fit.

Now THAT'S a machine I'd love to have! (Your machine, that is!) Beautiful. Thanks! That MUST be the greyhound machine I saw referenced. Funny though, that it's actually a later machine...after New Home was bought out by other company's.

These are for the White/National/Eldredge type of machines, they will not fit the Singers

Great! Someone is able to identify them. Okay, Billy... educate us. What to look for to tell which are singers and which are white/national/eldredge?

I just ran across a Singer 206... it looks kinda like an old black singer, but it has this funky big round bulbous thing up where the column and the arm meet, there's another screw type adjustment on the bottom left of the column, angled towards the work area, and the logo shield is in a different place.

Anyone have one of these... are they any good? Or just curiosities? I think it does straight and zig zag built in. But it's an old black singer.... <scratches head>
