He sent pictures and it is quite interesting. So any thoughts on what this thing is worth? It looks to be in fantastic shape. Not sure I have ever seen a toyota treadle. Really cool looking.

You are right Miz Johnny, we all thought at first it did say 'Improved' -- then decided it said 'Imperial.' After looking at the list you sent from "needlebar," I am sure it actually said 'Improved Eldredge.' It sure looked like there was a letter after the Eldredge, though. It looked like a 'D.' I wish I knew how old that machine was -- it was sure a cute little machine. The machine had a shuttle long bobbin and quite a few attachments. I told them to post pictures on Craig's List and it should sell pretty easily!

You also need to have the bolt hole under the handwheel to mount a hand crank, it also helps to have a spoked handwheel.

We just turned a newer Singer 15 into a handcranck. A red eye should be possible. All you need is a spoke wheel I think and the cranck. We bought a replica from online for about $16 or so.

In this tute they even changed the wheel to spoke first. Ours already had the spoke wheel and I would think your red eye does too. don't you love all the stuff you can find online?

Can you buy hand cranks for them?
My niece wants to learn and someone said that hand cranks are easier for kids so I was thinking of putting a crank on my red eye.
