Corned beef and cabbage, Irish Soda Bread. Cannot find lamb here, and its pricy when it is found, so no mutton stew. Goat is a good substitute, but none available here.
Planning a FART trip on the 25th. Must have Pony Club Quilt put together then; half of slashing left done yesterday. hope to finish today. Might have company tonight, so better make up the beds in the guest room. Off kitchen duty today, so gotta make that sewing machine sing today...one stitch at a time.
Love planning a new block for the month...its springing up!!

Anael,
That picture of the three of you just exudes love and delight. I loved it.
Today is a half day so the girls and my son will be home from school early. I must get off the computer and make hay while the sun shines. My other son who is holding the fort at home says he mailed my MB yesterday as they are having a snow storm. He was worried it wouldn't move if he waited til today. I am about 4 hours south of that and there is no snow here! love the chinooks that blow through here.
Hi to everyone. Happy stitching. Haave a good weekend all.

Everyone is so busy it seems! I finished my MB last night. I'll get a photo taken and sent to Anael as well, and also got my new MB recipient. Thanks for all your work Anne!
The Physical Therapy for my hand has really helped immensely. After 2 weeks of therapy I've improved 50%. Guess I'd better get my butt in gear and get out of here for my appointment this morning.

GGal it is still the wet season here although we have had glorious weather this past week. Cyclone Sandra moved away from the coast and now we have Cyclone Tim sitting off the coast in the Coral Sea. The weather bureau are predicting later this week we might get more rain.
DH has gone fishing and I am going to spend all day quilting butterflies.
A big thank you to Anael, you helped me immensely last night and I am now on the right track with my new MB.
Now it is brekkie time

Spring flowers are springing up here; tulips and daffodils and all the rest. Blue birds and robins are here by the dozen. Ducks and guineas spend the day in the orchard 'cause they like the new green growth too well.
Finished sewing all the slashing on PC blocks, but turned one upside down! Oh, well another day we hope. Guest coming in this evening to attend their GU visitation tonight and funeral tomorrow. Elderly man, who apparently lived a good life. Beef and noodles in the old dutch oven on the stove.

Anael, I really like that setting for your quilt. Love the white sashing--didn't think I would but it really makes your blocks shine. Thanks for the great family pic--it was like getting a Valentine on a dreary March day. Your smiles could light up a city block.
Jeanie, glad the PT is helping. I know it's a PITA to keep doing but think of the progress you've already made!
QNS, you are one incredible host--would love to show up for dinner at your house. Confession here: I've never tasted Corned Beef! On St. Pat's day this Italian gal will probably have pasta. I know--I'll make spinach ravioli so we have something green LOL.
Happy week-end all-don't drink too much green beer (yuck!).

QNS...my corned beef will get cooked tomorrow. Enjoy your company. They are lucky to have you for a stopping place. I agree with JanRn. Virtual meals with you are fun but IRL I bet they are tasty! Sounds like your PC is coming right along. I'm seeing some sprouts if green here too. Time to prune the berries.
Jeanie...how nice that your PT is helping. You will enjoy everything much more!
Mirabelle....are there enough Irish Catholics in your country that St. Patricks day is an event there? Not every town here does but in Chicago, they even dye the river green!
Honchey...I can hear your chuckle way out here. I'm glad you're getting some extra kicks for your work.
Anael....I agree with Jan. The white makes all of the colors pop. You haven't mentioned Mick for awhile. How is he doing?
OK...I'm trying the two window approach this morning and it isn't working but it did yesterday. It's memory is shorter than mine.
i did finish the flimsy of the quick quilt yesterday and found backing in my stash that is appropriate. Still have to measure and stitch it together. It will go to the quilter next week. Pieced a backing for another top I had done and it too will go to the quilter next week. Love getting things to the next step! Have a good day!

Like your layout and colors, Anael.
JanRN, no green beer here. At Rolla State college in Missouri, it is always served there. Big time thing there, celebrating St Pat's day.
Short two blocks of the 90 needed on the pony quilt. Will think of something there...thnk i will take it to Des Moines to be quilted also at Creekside, so it matches up with the FWQ. (gee, can you tell my left shift capital key is not working??)
GardenGAl, you are not that far from us, maybe you need a road trip this way? GrannyQ is in the 'neighborhood' too. We taught at Harmory, Farmington, iowa, that is in her conference school area....in fact, i took my student librarians to Fairfield junior high for a day of classes there....i took them to two or three different schools in the conference area to show them that teenagers had a lot of things common to all. Encouraged them to run for state office, and took them to Des Moines for their meetings. But that was back in the early 70s. and is ancient history now.
