Ok QuiltE, here is my idea of something different for your square....I did hold back on including a little extra "something" for when it's completed and I don't mean my name !!
I'm still undecided where and what combination and how many....
I also baked a "dump pineapple/angelfood cake" it was still in the oven...going to the RV to rest a bit...NOT...

HOnchey, your block for QuiltE is going to be lovely! And your cake......it's almost bed time here but I do want a piece of that cake Pineapple, YUM
I had a great time with my friend this afternoon. We hadn't seen each other in quite some time (at least 6 months) but we talked a lot on the phone. It was good to see her again.
Latest news on the twins: if Bram had not caught a cold they would have been ready to go home beginning of next week!!! But Bram still needs oxigen because of his cold so no going home yet. It's ok though, we thought they would come home end of May.
Tomorrow is sewing day I will show you what I made when it's finished It has been a long time since I made some cloths for myself and though I once was a seamstress (among other professions LOL) I have to build up some confidence again.

Anne, that is a beautiful block from DD. Handwork!! Wow that is special.
QNS, yay for you!!! With all you do for everyone else it's time to do something for yourself. Enjoy it!
Jeanie, would not want to live thru another remodel. When we did our kitchen it was supposed to take 3-4 wks. Everyday the contractor would say 3-4 wks. After the first 3-4 wks he was still saying 3-4 wks LOL. We had the microwave in the dining room and did dishes in the powder room sink. Took about 12 wks total (I guess 3-4 wks times 3 LOL).
And ladies look at the beautiful block I got in the mail today from OKSewGlad. It's so awesome. The pattern is from Quilters Cache called On the Oregon Trail. OK did a great job. She also sent me some yellow fabric; she's making me step out of my comfort zone. I think she's in cahoots with QE! Thank you, OK.

JeanieG ... I feel for you! Renos alone create a lot of stress ... and to be forced into them, when you are not planning on doing so, I'm sure, only makes it worse. Then to have to work "with" insurance, and those who it's just a "job" ... and not affecting their life, sadly, it all goes at a snail's pace. From watching others deal with similar to you, and having gone thru extensive renos (choice, not forced, like you are) my best advice is to document every little conversation and every little promise ... and keep nailing them down with definitives, that may haunt them later .......... on this date you told me on this date that you'd have this done, or would call me back, or or ..... etc.
Patient I am NOT, either ... so I can totally understand what you are and will be dealing with.
Good Luck ... and sew sew sew yourself into oblivion to get thru it!

Jan, that is a beautiful block you got there! This is so fun to see what everyone gets, and exciting to get that squishy in the mail!

JanRN and OKSGlad ... What a great block. Coordinates so well with #1 ... and even some mellow yellow JanRN to appreciate!
JanRN ... guess that builder got done early .... 3 to 4 weeks, time 3 to 4 times would have been 16 weeks! I swear, we did not conspire. Remember I have not been a yellow lover ... though I am seeing the value of yellow and am doing better at including in projects.
OKSGlad ... does butter yellow/gold count? I'm more likely to lean to that than a true yellow.
JeanieG ... How did you feel having the girls packing up your things? Hope you are keeping an inventory to know what there is.
Soon be time for we Internationals to dispatch our May blocks!!!
And then the fun starts again!!! ........... Yippeeeee!!

Beautiful block, JanRN, that OK did for you. Nice to know its name and where the pattern came from.
QuiltE, no picture yet of your set up and new machine??
I will not have my setup done til after May 18th, so no pictures until after that date...that is when I pick up the rest of the stuff.
No snow here, but Iowa and Wisconsin got snow...we had to move the little chicks and ducks back inside the garage 'cause it got too *cold* outside for them. Those ladies in a hurry to put away their winter clothes had to dig them out again!! Enough of this cold wet weather!! Need sunshine...

QNSue ... I'm a long way from thinking of photos. All is a disaster right now, as I have everything ripped apart and now trying to resettle things. Unfortunately, I can only see the way I have had things situated for so long, as being the "right" way. Thus, the dilemma of how/where to relocate things!! Guess what? my biggest dilemma are my two garbage cans at the machine, one for recycle and one for the real garbage! There was a perfect nook for them before, but not now. I think there's going to have to be a new garbage system!

QE--DD is continuing to feel better. When she went to bed last night I told her I wasn't waking her up and that if she felt like it when she got up I would take her to school. She woke up at 6:30 this morning with no headache and wanted to go so was ready when the bus got here. You asked about the "last MB" and Jan has already answered by sharing her block. How exciting about your new table! What kind did you get? You'll have to share a picture when you get it and your machine set up.
OK--No snow here thankfully. It rained and has gotten colder most of the day though. Were you able to get some sewing done?
QNS--you really are going all out...good for you! Enjoy your new machines.
Honchey--you got a very pretty block! Great job DD.
Jeanie--Sorry to hear about the amount of work that needs to be done to your house...at least you have your RV. Hopefully things will go well for you.
Honchey--your little "flowers" are going to be very cute on the little FFC block. I mailed mine back to QE but it isn't near as fancy as yours and the others whose we've seen. Your cake looks yummy! My DMIL made me an apple pie while I was at work yesterday...it is good. I am happy to share in the virtual RV.
Anael--great to hear your time with friend was so good. How exciting that the twins are close to going home.
Jan--Your MB is a great variety of b/w fabrics and yellow is good too. Funny I was thinking about putting a little yellow in my block for you too.
QNS--I agree...sunshine can come and stay!!
MBs are now all received (by my count)...is anyone still waiting that I missed???
I got my plane wings all done today and the plane bodies trimmed. I need to bring them in to pin tonight so I can sew them tomorrow. After lunch w/DH I started playing around with designs for a quilt I am making for a friend. Then my mom stopped by and we visited until DH got home.
