Lynne, I'm glad your knee is doing better, but sorry you've been sick. Glad you're feeling better. Your quilt is beautiful. I miss you my friend. Sandy

    Missy,
I saw another very easy craft for your craft fair. Again, I would use batting instead of interfacing...

    Happy sewing!

Missy~ I"ll continue to hold you in my thoughts and prayers!

I didn't get up early today but did do a lifting routine and a walking dvd! Will be getting up early tomorrow and weighing in as well! NOT looking forward to that I can tell you. Lots of dealing with visitors and being off schedule this month!

Good news though I won't have to take a final in my Econ class! The professor announced today that if we have A's on all our quizes, the last one we took today, we will be excused form taking the final he'll just give us our A! I'm so greatful, it was going to be a comprehensive exam and I hate those!

Well I had a wonderful surprise this morning I weighed and I am down 3 pounds from yesterday!!! So it was water weight and hormones that caused most of the weight! I was happy to just be back were I started the month yesterday when I weighed because I have not been sticking to my 1200 calories a day like I was before. Ever since starting this I have noticed that I either stop losing or gain the first part of the month but this month was worse than usual and I was not eating the way I should of. Today I feel so much better I have more energy and I am not spending the whole day trying to talk myself into eating everything in sight. I need to expect this and not give up so easy. I think it is true even if your scales say you aren't losing you really are so don't give up or get frustrated so easily.

I hope evryone is doing well today. Drink lots of water! It's 100 degrees here so that is no problem for us!:)
My friend told me about slimfast.com having alot of good healthy recipes on thier sight. I am going to check it out and thought I would share that with you guys incase you are looking for some new recipes!
You sound like me the last few days.Of course I'll take any weight loss as long as it keeps going down the scales.Plus I always feel it.Funny how we can feel less fat as it moves off the body.

missy i'm so sorry for your heartache.
today is a fat day for me. i must have eaten something that made my abdomen swell. maybe it's just bloat. i know...when things get heated they swell. i'm probably filled with hot air!
i've been working away on the 3rd baby quilt. it is sandwiched and tomorrow i will quilt it and hopefully bind , wash, dry and be done with it. then i just need to finish the painting for the older sister, wrap and deliver. fine'. then i must sandwich and quilt my grand daughter's quilt, which i have been holding off on. just didn't want to ruin it, but truly the parents will be thrilled that i finished it before she leaves for college. mom is still holding at 1cm dilated and is disgusted. i gave the baby a peptalk over skype and let her know she'd be getting an eviction notice if she didn't move out on her own. we'll see. still 2 weeks to the 'official' due date. i'm not heading west until i know there's a baby there!
oh, meant to mention, i've been using the spray basting and i love it! quick, easy and it hasn't created a mess. thumbs up! beats all that hand basting! i hope everyone gets into a positive cycle and the weight starts dripping off twice as fast as the sweat! good night, moon. i'm off to bed!! xoxo

Good morning, y'all. I am up early for me. Waiting for a plumber to return my call. I've sprung a leak in my second bathroom. Quilt guild is today, but I'm not going until I hear from the plumber. I hope I can make the meeting after lunch. They gave me a job at the annual quilt show. I need to find out more about it - September will be here soon.

Nancia, you make me tired reading all you're able to do in a day. How's the head doing? I'd like to see a picture of your painting. The quilts, too, of course, but the painting intrigues me.

My weight is holding - trouble is it's holding 12 pounds more than I want it to. I usually lose in the Summer, but I also usually have some project going that takes more energy than I can do now. I will not be putting in any more gardens or painting the house. Those days are gone. When the weather breaks, I will go back to two dog walks a day, not just one at night. I will immediately add my half hour exercise program back in now that I know more about my back and the nerve damage in my back and foot. I AM in control.

The Jewel Box quilt didn't get finished for the wedding. The newlyweds have seen it and loved it. I reminded them that wedding presents can arrive the anytime in the first year. Now I need to start a Carpenter Star for #4 daughter's birthday to stay on schedule. I'm having trouble deciding on the background fabric. I like bright yellowish creams , but she painted her living room a light taupe, so I think I need to use a toned down beige. I'm trying, but it's hard. I hate making decisions of any kind!

Off to the tub (with my phone). Have a good, clean eating day, my friends.

I tried to weigh in this morning. Stepped on the scale and it read 10 lbs less than expected, so I get off and step back on and weighed 2 lbs less than last week. So I repeat this and get ERROR. So I guess it's time for a new battery. I was scared if I tried again what it would say, So I'll take the 2 lbs. and be happy till I get new batteries for it. Hope everyone has a great day.

My scale does that all the time, even after I change the battery. Still haven't found a replacement for it.
