I have been begging my husband to let me have the master for my sewing studio! He won't budge so far, the two other bedrooms are a nice size for sleeping in!! I just don't understand it! You go for it!!

I have a friend who lost her husband a few years ago and she never sleeps in the master bedroom anymore. So, the other day I stopped to see her and guess what? That master bedroom is a super duper way cool sewing room and that master bath? It is her storage area for all her fabric. She says now she can enjoy the room again "differently". Go for it!

I have tried to talk my husband into the same thing. I live in my sewing room and is so small. He won't even let me talk about it. If you don't have anyone telling you no go...for it.

I think using the master bedroom is a fabulous idea. I did it, my husband didn't complain too much. Now I want the family room, so working on talking him into that. Then we can have the master bedroom back as a bedroom, too squashed in the little bedroom. And if I get the family room I can finally get my longarm quilter!!!

If I lived alone, I would sell my house, move into a small place, less to clean, one big room for my machines and my twin size bed. I would only leave to eat and shop. Just my dream. So you have the chance to change rooms, go for it, who is there to tell you no.

I would do that in a heart beat if I lived alone.

Sounds like a wonderful idea to me! You can always change back if you don't like it, but it sounds like it would be a very practical and useful way to arrange your rooms! I liked the response of the first page - it's the master bedroom and you are the master! I say go for it - and post pictures of your wonderful new space.

What a great idea! I would love to do that, but I can't get my DH out of there LOL!

Don't feel weird for what others might say - they don't have to know anyway. Don't feel weird on your own behalf either as it is your own place. You don't have to have it to suit the occasional visitor. I have a one bedroom place and most of the stuff is in the lounge room. I'm past caring what others think and it suits me fine. Hope you have success with the arrangement.

Do what works best for you, there is no right or wrong - quilt police not involved in this decision
