Good Morning Everyone,

Lynnie, do not despair about your Mug Rug package. I am one of Brats Angels and I have not one but two packages ready to send if she needs me to. I know there are more Angels out there so no worries. I can certainly do up more if you need me to Brat. I don't want anyone left out and feeling sad.
I am finally ready to do some quilting. I have been so busy with everything else since we got here to the condo. I have a Christmas tree panel to do. It is the kind that has the places to put the heat resistant lights on that are battery operated.
The weather here is beautiful today. I just found out I will be in Concord NH in January! My husband has to travel there for his work and we will be there for four days. I have a nice long coat and a pair of Ugg boots that I left here last year just in case we would have to travel again, ( went there last year as well)
I thought it was really pretty and the people were so nice too. The hotel room window looked out right at the capitol building. Hope we can get the same view this time too. I get to be a tourist while there. I went to a museum and walked around a bit. There was a lot of snow last time and I was not doing well health wise, so I didn't check out to see if there was any quilt stores. This time I am looking forward to having my health woes behind me and being able to out and about more.
Off to get busy. If anyone who lives in Concord can tell me their favorite quilt shop that would be great. - Sandra

Maybe one of those mug rugs are coming to me? My DH brings in the mail and I hopefully ask...is there something for me? Maybe today! Oh well, there is always tomorrow.

This was just posted on the Secret Santa swap, and thought I'd cross post it here! I love it!!!

'Twas the night before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas,
And the quilts were not made.
The threads were all tangled, the cookies delayed.
The stocking weren't hung, the pantry was bare.
The poor weary Quilter, was tearing her hair.
Stacks of fat quarters, tipped over in streams.
Visions of Log Cabins, had turned into dreams.

When what to her wondering eyes should appear,
But a bus full of quilters with all of their gear.
They went straight to work with just a few mutters,
Sorting and stitching and brandishing cutters.
The patterns emerged from all of the clutter,
Like magic the fabrics arranged in a flutter.
Log Cabins, Lone Stars, Flying Geese & Bear Tracks
Each quilt was a beauty-even the backs.

Her house how it twinkled, her quilts how they glowed.
The cookies were baking, the stockings were sewed.
Their work was all done, so they folded their frames,
And packed up their needles, without giving their names.
They boarded the bus, and checked the next address.
More quilts to be made, another quilter in distress.

She heard one voice echo, as they drove out of sight,
Happy quilting to all and to all a good night!

very cute miz melly!

Good morning everyone. it is a picture perfect day and I am loving it. plus grin I don't have to go outside! its cold and icy and no thanks. however.. from where I sit its stunning. woke to this view that was priceless. snow on lawn, trees gleaming with white tips.. slightly blue front yard due to shading then the view down to my valley below.. is golden yellow with snow covered fields.. and white mountians behind it.. oh heck yeah. I see things in the colors of a quilt. what a dork. I know and best part is? I don't give a rats.. tail about it either its me. tada!

Hello everyone! It took me several minutes to catch up on this thread as we were gone to Arkansas to visit with kids and grandkids for Thanksgiving and just got home long enough to start laundry and clean up from our trip. I don't know if I have a package waiting in our mail that was put on "hold" or not, but am not worried. And actually, the longer it takes to get to me, the easier it is for me not to cheat? Hoping you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are enjoying the beginning of our Christmas season! Yahoo! I LOVE Christmas! I have one week to sew and craft like crazy before my knee replacement surgery next Tuesday, so I will be a busy, busy girl!
