    Good for you Vickey

I smoked for years..and my daughter 16 (at the time,1976) told me she didn't want me to die.....I had just bought a carton so I finished that...with all around the dinner table, I smoked the very last one, cork tip and all !!!!!

Six months later, I grabbed daughter's jacket to run out to the store, stuck my hand in her pocket......and guess what I found..
you got it.....a pack of ciggies.......
and she is still is smokin' 'em..........

Just can't get her to quit.and her daughter now is also......

    Can't or won't quit....until they are ready.......right?

No one will usually quit when asked, but when the time comes when the mind-set is right...then it might happen. Both my boys smoked, but don't now...thank God!
Neither of my girls ever smoked..

The dumb part of it all, is that I ENJOYED my cigerettes, which makes very little sense, even to me. giggle

Here is the most recent... two in one flip dolls for a child with cancer. It will make 3 more that are now ready to go to the American Cancer Society for a child with cancer. The trims for the doll were donated. On the dress up side, I used the same red trim as on the bonnet, to make small butterfly for the waistband ribbon.

On the nightgown part, a little bow decorates the gown and there is a side trim of pink. Gold glitter lace is on the hat and sleeves. Hope you guys are enjoying the pictures. I need to take 3-5 days off to get something made for a friend, then will be cutting out some more dolls and getting them ready for a child.

I am sure I must have died and gone to heaven....am I still here? SUrely not. Today I went around the corner to collect my 'home address' mail and there was a package of 4 yards of skin colored fabric that will surely make 4 o4 5 doll bodies for kids with cancer. Than I went to the post-office where a larger box waited for me with hundreds of yards of all different types of decorative laces and solid colored ribbons, tiny trims of flowers that could be sewed on the doll dresses, appliques to iron or glue on and lots of rickrack, then at the bottom of all that enough material with decorations of white on whate that will surely make 3 to 5 nightgowns.

I believe I must have enough for 9 more dolls. My golly, but the Lord sure blessed my day today. I am so fortunate to have received these, that I hardly know how to say thank you. I know 4 or more packages (that will be including embroidery floss) are still on the way. I even got a check for fabric. People are so kind. Thanks so much to everyone out there, that stopped to look, that stepped forward to help me.

The little ones would say thanks I know if they met you face to face....I don't have enough words to get past the lump in my throat from all the goodness that has come my way. No matter how much or little is sent, it finds a place to belong and it is appreciated....as you also are.

    Vickey..
I was so excited that I called my hubby in to see your dolls and I told him"there are the trims that I sent to Vickey"

How happy that my trims are going to make some little child smile.

You made my day, thanks for all you do.
