I went to get my backing last night and managed to ONLY purchase the backing. Granted, I did round up to the nearest yard, and when the sales lady got to my measurement she had 1/3 yard left. So I got it all with a 10% discount. To be honest, I had pulled some bolts from the sales rack and put them all back with a very stern self-talk of "NO-NO-NO YOU DON'T NEED THESE!"

Great job Martina! Sale fabrics are so hard to walk by but you stayed strong.
I was going to put picture of baby quilt on here but having troubles with photos on my computer. Though after several days of occasionally looking at it I realized I just didn't like the focal blocks and am changing that. If I ever figure the pics problem out I'll post. Might need to call in the cavalry (hubby and sons) if I don't figure it out soon.

I joined the i-spy swap. Need I say more? Yes, I had to buy special fabric and did just that. Bought only enough fabric to make 16 5" charms for the 16 swap pkgs. That is the first time I have ever bought just what was needed. Usually I buy more "just in case".
Elly66, If you have an IPad try using that to upload your photo.

I was good today! Went to Joanne's and only bought two spools of thread and a zipper. Had coupons for the thread. Was really hoping thread would be on sale so I could buy more, but will wait for a later time to get more thread. I have gotten to the point that if something is not on sale or I don't have a coupon, I don't get it. So far this year I have only bought a couple charm packs from MSQC. And only paid for shipping on those as I had points to use. Eleven more months to be good!

There's the spirit! lol

I just got notification that the next retreat is 127 days away and that is usually combined with an epic fall off the wagon.

Well Martina...just make a list of what you need to finish projects and buy that during retreat time....then it's not a fall it's enabling you to succeed with the moratorium.....

Sophie2 I find myself doing that as well. No coupon or sale I'll wait till there is.

grrrrh, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard spot. I'm still new to making quilts and I don't have an eye or a head for the process yet. So I have bought 3 different fabrics for the cornerstones on my sashing. The first and second times buying way more fabric than needed. And I had to buy the sashing fabric twice because that wasn't right. Then I bought a border fabric that I didn't need for the size of quilt I was making.

I was thinking that I needed to buy that software program EQ but I have a google computer and it has no harddrive to store things on and I don't want to buy cloud storage. That means a third computer? I don't think so.

Is there a way to save me. (new name "Buried under the Quilting Hobby")
