Oksewglad, I am just in awe. given the finished dimensions of your top, I figured that each block was 3" square. Then I tried to figure out the size of the smaller patches and came up with really tiny and really, really, really tiny. Love the bright colors too! I agree with all over swirls for a quilting design.

That's exactly how I feel, grammasharon. Had a health issue last year and it made me really start looking around. It would be cruel to leave all this for my kids to deal with. I had stopped buying fabric even before that but now I am even more committed. The only thing I'll buy is white fabric (only as much as I need when I need it), batting, thread and needles. I've tried to guesstimate how many quilts I could make from my stash and it's beyond me. I know some of my tubs have at least 100 yards in them and possibly more. I expect that I have plenty of years to use up most of it but I'll have to keep busy. Lucky for me, I have a lot of kids and grandkids who all want quilts!

Thanks all...yes 3 inches is right, PPrincess...it was fun to make..I have lots of small pieces left to make more blocks. This gets addictive...I plan on giving this mini to the friend who gave me the scraps...grammasharon, you are right...what a bright cheery baby quilt it would be, but bigger squares...

Oksewglad, I think loops with random hearts would also be a good option for the mini. I had to do a double-take too. That's tiny but cute.

That is a cute one! Thanks for the info! Sprigs and twigs-- I guess the pattern is by Kim Diehl.

I am in full swing getting ready for the upcoming quilt retreat. Went into my stash and it is amazing all I have and nothing seems to match. I did come up with a number of fabrics that I could make pillowcase kits, table toppers, selvedge mug rugs and scrap quilts so all is not lost yet. Going to give this challenge my best effort. They always have a shop set up for fabric and items for sale. This will be my biggest challenge as she always has bundles of yardage for half price. That is where I pick up so much fabric with nothing in mind. Has given me this huge stash where nothing matches. YIKES!

3 inches oksewglad. WOW! I'm currently working on a bargello where the cuts are 1 1/4 by 1 1/2 and I'm thinking those are small. Kudos to you!

grammasharon I have been there. You would think that with the amount of fabric I have on hand color choices would come together well.

I say Kudos to anyone that does a bargello of any size. Everyone is doing so well, and the pictures are great. I am really enjoying this thread as well as the gentle push to stay straight and on the wagon. Way to go!!

I posted the "Lemonade" wall hanging in the UFO Challenge 2017 thread. Just a few pages back.
